  1. Here's another way to install Speedhut speedo and tach gauge . I used vac hose to install mine . Vac hose size depends on gauge size .
  2. Yup , better with spacers . Did you roll your fenders ?
  3. Looks great ! You have a lot more patience on your project than most . Don't think i can wait that long . I'm still working mine but it runs and dirves . Just finished the swap not long ago , took me about 6 weekends to get it on the street . Suspension is next on the list and then paint . My goal was to get the car running so i can enjoy it while working on other areas . Great job !
  4. I would wait until you are ready for trans. filter change to install your sender ( for trans. temp. gauge ) . Corvette C5 has temp. sender installed at oil cooler block plate . Where's your oil press. sender ?
  5. I had the same problem , turned out to be a bad computer . If there's no voltage at the pump wire and fuel mod tested good , i would check fuel pump wires for open ckt ( cut wires ) .
  6. Here's mine . Don't see any connector and FSM doesn't show any either . It looks like fuel pump control relay connector but wires color don't match FSM . It's hard to see ( your photo ) , looks like there's a relay without a connector .
  7. Looking good so far . I like the rear fender flares , do they make anything for the front ? Going to LS my 91 soon , like 2 yrs . Waiting for it to be emission exempt . LOL
  8. What year car and transmission type ? My 78 w standard does not have any connector under the cover .
  9. It sounds very strange that everything took a dump at the same time .
  10. Not sure if the green light supposed to come on or flashing with key on . Flashing when running . I would double check your conversion . If checked good , try another module .
  11. Man , that was all it took to pull the spindle pins . LOL . Can't wait to do mine .
  12. Why would you want to do that ? Don't think you are to get for what you put into it .
  13. I would try another ign. module ( igniter ) , it's cheap enough .
  14. Cool build . The future for the Z is looking good . Keep it up the good work . Looking forward to its completion .
  15. It's a HEI dist. , probably bad ign. module . Do your basic dist. test . You said no fuel , meaning no injector pulse ?
  16. My 78 Z was a 5 spd car and brake system worked great until i converted to LS1 auto . It required more foot pressure to keep it stationary , in drive , at stops . It braked fine . With 10" booster , it feels like the car is neutral and slows the car down MUCH faster . Could have been a bad MC , but it worked as good as my 83 ZXT before the conversion . I Think the 10" was disigned for auto car .
  17. Where did you find the screw ? It might have shorted the ignition mod. or damaged the pick up coil . Check the dist. to see .
  18. Jegs housing calls for earlier Chevy V8 T-stat . Had to slightly mod my housing for it to work .
  19. You can tap the oil cooler block off plate ( at the oil pan ) for your temp. sender . Trans. pan is one location for trans. temp. sender or put a splice in your trans. cooler hose ( make sure you have a ground if your have a single wire sender ) .
  20. You are probably right . Do a compression test , that will tell you if the chain has jumped .
  21. Ok , what's missing ? Fuel or spark ? Have you tried to start it with carb spray or starting fluid to see if it runs ?
  22. I know that you don't have to replace the T-stat that often but it saves money in the long run with JEGS T-stat housing .
