  1. Well, lets just say they may have one IT guy that knows what he's doing. But the list sounds like things they do everyday.
  2. You wouldn't happen to work for either General Dynamics, CSC or IBM would you?
  3. Cool, I think the stock shorties fit well with the Z so that might be a great option for side pipes. I say try it! Looks like fun.
  4. I think side pipes would be awesome, but check your state laws first. NC doesn't have all the restrictions most states do, but they do have a clause that says only vehicles with side pipes as a factory option are allowed to have them. Also those particular pipes look like they require either a special adapter or header to install them properly and the Z's sometimes have a hard time with certain headers. EDIT: Never mind, I see you're in kuwait. My bad.
  5. If you're going to go 88mm why not take the extra step, go 89mm, and get a diesel crank out of a Maxima, l24 rods and KA24 pistons and stroke that thing?
  6. "I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're asking. Have you been at the pub all afternoon?" Hahahahahaha that's great....
  7. I don't even bother asking for car related or tool related things for chrismas. They're expensive, and usually people have no clue what I'm talking about.
  8. Hmmmm, what HP? I can give you a number but in reality I don't know nor does anyone else. Depends on how much boost you're going to run, whether or not it's tuned properly and any other mods you decide to do can give an up in performance or could hinder it. Build it, test it and let us know what you get. I would guestimate (because guessing is all it is) 250HP if you crank the boost up to 10-12psi.
  9. This sounds more like a running lean problem. It's getting just enough fuel to idle but any increase in air kills it. Have you checked the plugs for color? You're running the stock ECU on an upgraded intake system and it could easily be flowing more than the ECU is expecting.
  10. Just the emissions. Everything else should be the same.
  11. The only way it's pulling 230HP is if he did some modifications to it. The Japanese engines didn't pull in any higher numbers than the US spec until you factored in the weight of the car or the Cali emissions crap.
  12. Nice, my ZX might get there one day. I can't believe it's still running on all original sensors. Just wish the damned Alt would quit going out. Time for a GM upgrade!
  13. Why are you waiting for the power to be hooked up? I'm surprised you wouldn't do it yourself.
  14. I bought a regulator with water seperator from Lowes for my compressor. It has several outlets on it for hoses. I was planning on buying a couple and using one with an inline oiler for tools and one dry for paint. Just a thought.
  15. Unfortunately it looks as though the admin have already vetoed this idea.
  16. I'd like to find a whole car as well, but have not had any luck as of yet. I want the engine and ECU and all related. I'd like to make a diesel Z for my daily driver. Might save on gas. Anyone know what the gas mileage was like on the diesel maximas?
  17. Talk to the owner. Ask him if can manage a payment plan for you. Give as much as you can when you can. See if he'll move the plane to someplace less destructive for it until you pay him in full. He may even allow you to take possession of the plane before you pay it off. At least then you could start cleaning it up until you have the money to start working on it. Otherwise I would look for someone that could buy it or loan you the money.
  18. I second this! A Project Subforum with thread titles setup like username/year/model/engine/project_summary to keep things organized would be awesome!
  19. I'm curious on this as well. Before I get to my engine rebuild I'd like to know what would be the proper procedure for ARP bolts/studs? BRAAP, you're the master machinist here, what's your take?
  20. Well the first thing we need to know is what you plan to do with it? If you want to use an impact and other air tools for working on your Z you will need something a bit bigger. Impacts use a lot of air and when I was running a 30 gallon I would have to wait for it to recharge between wheels just pulling off lug nuts. Right now I'm running a Harbor Frieght 80 Gallon 5hp unit that has been awesome! I've had it almost a year now and it stay hardwired in the garage. It's always available when I need it and it never seems to run out of air. Plus it was only $300. That's half what the other brand name units cost. You get what you pay for usually, but I think I got a steal on this.
  21. How about going to the source yourself? Check the startup menu first of all. Next open regedit (START>RUN regedit) Start with HKEY_CURRENT_USER>software>microsoft>windows>currentversion>run Now pick the items you want to get rid of from startup and hit delete. Next go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>SOFTWARE>microsoft>windows>currentversion>run and do the same there will be more in here. That's IT! Enjoy... I don't trust programs to do it for me as you never know what else they're doing too.
  22. I think that would still be a very tight fit if it did at all. Is it at all possible to go back to the firewall? That looks very stable, but it will make it hard to work on without removing the bar.
  23. Looks like you added some forward support down to the frame rails. Nice welds.
  24. Hmmmm, sounds like a TV show... No wait that was an Army Chaplin in Fort Hood for real. he was hitting up the wives left behind when the troops deployed. We had a Capt. try that too.
