  1. It is cool. And the glass is incredible. They beat a nail into wood with one and ran it over with a big truck and it didn't even crack. That's sweet.
  2. Those are the wrong bolt patterns. The Z/ZX bolt pattern is 4x114.3mm
  3. Ok maybe that was a bad example, because I get it in other forums as well, and it's so random and out of the blue I don't understand it. Some threads I've posted on before come up unable to post now. It's just odd.
  4. I kinda like that in blue. The red is nasty looking though. Too bright I think. Coolant glows in blacklight, what about that?
  5. All great advice here. I would start with something already built, 10 years old or newer, at least 1500-2000 sq/ft, decent lot 3/4-1 acre and definetely a detached garage if you're going to work on cars in it. My first house and only house, I bought last year in November for $135,000. All brick, built in 1975 (a bit old, but it works), fireplace, central heating and air, 1700sq/ft, .94 acre, detached 2 car garage, brick storage shed and it's in generally good shape. I've had to strip out the master bathroom because whoever built the master bedroom addon screwed up the plumbing and the floors rotter through. but all is good, it's got new floors new plumbing and gett a full face lift inside. One thing I didn't see mentioned was always check the age of the roof. If it hasn't had new shingles in the last 8-10 years put it in the bid that you want the roof redone. Most of them good for 15-20 years, but don't take that chance.
  6. I love the shuttle systems. I built several when I was working for a computer shop in town and they are simple, compact and very versatile. Not to mention they look pretty sharp too.
  7. I've noticed that randomly I run across threads that I can't reply to. There's no message box at the bottom and if I click the quote button it says I do not have permission to post in that thread...Yet it's just a general thread...Here's an example, I can't post in this thread... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=118326
  8. I'm just...wow...That's great... How did you get the oil and coolant passages lined up and ensure nothing got blocked? What about the head bolt pattern? Obvious things would have been shifted around cutting the thing into pieces and welding back together. Are there gaps inside the passages that would be a concern? This is all incredible to me that you're able to pull it off.
  9. Yeah I just got a message back from him. He said it was sold to him as a V07 crank, but never used it. I looked all over this thing and the location that would normally indicate V07 or P30 is worn down, but I can vaguely make out the remnents of a 3. I mic'ed it and compared to the crank that I pulled from my spare block and it's identicle. Well, I guess I'm in the market for another crank if anyone knows of one cheap. Thanks,
  10. Dude...I was in Iraq for a year and when I got back I bought a house and got married and yeah I've waited that long.
  11. I need to find Allen Newell, eBay seller ur-gelis. I purchased a V07 crank from him on eBay back 2005 along with pistons and everything else to create my stroker. Finally pulled the crank out of the packing material and discovered it's not a V07 crank, it's a P3040 stock L28 crank. I'm sure it was nothing more than an oops in packing as everything else was spot on, but I really need to get in touch with him. I sent an email, but haven't received a responce yet. If anyone knows him, please ask him to get in touch with me.
  12. They have already gotten linux on the PSP. I'm sure it wouldn't take much to get megatunix on that.
  13. The PCV system is in there for a reason. Heating and cooling oil combined with the carbon deposits created by the combustion chambers and all around heat creates an acidic gas inside the crankcase. If this gas isn't evacuated it will slowly eat away at the internal components of the engine. For a daily driven car it's a must. For a race car it's a safety thing. And yes it does reduce wear and pressure on the rings by creating a vacuum in the crankcase. Without it, the cylinder movement would create a positive pressure build up inside the engine that would put strain on the rings and the pistons when they make their power and intake strokes. This pressure can destroy rings, ringlands, cylinder walls and reduce overall performance. Keep a vacuum on it if at all possible. If not at least keep it vented appropriately.
  14. I don't think any kid under the age of 12 needs any kind of counseling. They don't have the comprehension yet to fully understand what's going on. I think a proper foster home is more appropriate and a family that isn't afraid to tan their rear. Call the cops, go ahead. It's discpline so long as there's no marks.
  15. I'd be suing someone over that fiasco...
  16. Not arguing that point. It is sad. Should have been the parents. not the kids.
  17. Yeah, the study is based on the average number of traffic accidents in the area and the overall cost of the accidents. Then they figure in your driving record and raise it even more from there. Try Progressive, they're pretty good.
  18. If it is the alt, quit screwing with Advance and the Zone...Take the Alt to an electrical shop that can rebuild it. it's cheaper and although you don't get a pretty shiny casing you do get a complete rebuild.
  19. Probably...Natural Selection and all. Wish it worked better.
  20. Yeah. Damned McDonalds. They never get my steak well don't with the right seasoning either...
  21. I remember when that happened. That is so sad that parents are that neglecting.
  22. Distributer cap is probably worn. Get a new cap and rotor and do a tune up.
  23. Pretty....Oooohhhh. And I don't like larger rims on a Z, but that looks sweet. What size are those rims and tires?
