  1. And West Albany beat my son's team, The Wilsonville Wildcats, last nite in the State Semi-Finals! It was the last game I get to see him play in unless he decides to play college ball. I am really bummed! 8(
  2. Maybe, but it is more likely a U-joint. Brgs will growl when going bad
  3. You checked the rotors with a dial indicator? I have seen lots of new rotors that were warped and had to be turned.
  4. I used a steel plate that was 5/8" thick to move the trany back. I used a hydraulic TO brg, that was also spaced back 5/8". No pics available at this time as project has been moved down the list of projects. Datsun 510/SR20DET project is filling garage at the moment.
  5. The adapter I am building is on the back burner. My 510 came home from the body shop and is now takin all the space in the garage. As soon as it is reassembled I will get back on the Z-car. Sorry.
  6. Use concrete! you are pouring a slab anyway, just build the forms and incorporate into new floor!

  10. The wires don't run current to the pump, they power a relay. the relay powers the pump.
  11. Put "LS1 vs 350" in the search window and hit enter. Lots of info there.
  12. Make sure and keep your terminology straight. A temp sensor is not the same as a temp sender! A sensor feeds info the the F.I.. A sender tells the gauge what to read.
  13. Leaf spring U-bolt nuts are what I used. They are tall and have lots of threads for your Heim joints.

not hard, but it can get expensive. You will need to find someone who is willing to ship you the parts from Japan or Australia. Parts needed include: Steering rack, Steering column, Parking brake parts, Dash board, Pedal assemblys, Wiring, Wiper linkages, Cowl, etc.
  15. Price will jump after the elections!

    283ForMyZ

I must be missing something. We I was a kid, we ran 283's and 327's to 7k every day in our daily drivers and had no problems! We did not have stud girdles, main girdles, roller cams, and rockers! and we certainly didn't the money for them. They were driven daily and we never had any failures. So whats up? A 283 crank in a 327 block (302)would be a very sweet motor in my mind.
  17. You could have them redrilled to a 4-1/2 x 5 pattern. (Ford spacing). redrill your rear stubs and replace front hubs with later 5 lug nissan
  18. You can run a 440 3ph motor by using an additional 3ph motor to generate the different phases. Do a google on 3ph power adaptors or... http://www.metalwebnews.com/howto/ph-conv/ph-conv.html http://www.woodweb.com/knowledge_base/Building_a_rotary_phase_converter.html
  19. Donation will be sent at the end of the month! I love this site!!
  20. Is your timing retarded? Retarded timing will cause heating! What is total advance? Are you running Vacuum advance unit?
