  14. OK then I should figure on a roll of ground wire, and some terminals. I was under the impression that another harness would be needed for the gauges etc. This is a good thing. I'll have to add headlight relays and a fan relay. Is there anything else that should be on a relay? I'm sure this question has been asked a few times I'm doing a search now. Keith
  15. I'm thinking of getting the 18 cir. for non GM columns. This seems to be the on a lot of you guys are running. What if anything would you change with it. Are the leads long enough, Does the wire contour nicely, and does it go to the engine and gauges or is it just a body harness?? can I add on a guage and engine harness? If so does it just plug in or is it a cut and solder set-up.?? Thanks for the help I'm getting so close now it hurts!!!! by this summer I should be debugging this baby!!!!
  16. I also have the red kit on my rx-7 it has made it through 2 tough Boston winters with out a squeek either Just my 2 pennys Keith
  17. Please look at the flange of the oil pan if it distorted flatten it with a hammer and a body dolly I do this to ALL trans pans where some hammer head figured that if it's leaking just tighen it down some more!!! if I don't the damn thing just leaks even with the new gasket and the proper tourque it is very simple to do just a few love taps from the gasket side of the pan and you are back in shape I like to use a 1.5 lb hammer and ong good whack over each bolt hole in the corners I use a peice of solid round steel that has been ground to the proper size Keith
  18. Well then there is the old trick of using a check ball from an AXOD unit to plug the TCC solinoid so that governer psi controls the lock up and it will com on at about 54 mph and unlock below that!

  21. Please get them from a dealer or a trans shop if they are the wrong length they will damage the tcc and contaminate the whole unit. Trust me I speak from expereince this is not a cheap mistake!!!!!!
  22. If you want to disable the torque converter clutch just up plug the 4 pin on the side of the case and go for a ride Keith
  23. You may want to try disconnecting the pipe just before the cat and going for a test drive if the symtoms remain you just eliminated the exhaust system I had a car in the shop a while back with the same problem. We tried a tune up with no avail found out that the inner pipe on the resonater had collapsed and pumped a ton of fiberglass into the muffler took me a while to figure that one out!! Keith
  24. BLKMGK the part number on those mounts is 615-988-0011 that is the most recent part number issued by Mercedes Benz the retail should be short money ($2-3 each) but they last a wicked long time. I use them to mount just about everything that has to be isolated. Keith
