I've had tremendus luck with tabco panels they were made of good heavy gauge steel fit very well and found out that they were cheaper from JC whitney than I could get them from tabco even with the shop discount!! Keith
You may want to rethink a stock TPI on a 383 I put one on my stroker and it just pain ran out of air at about 4300rpm the stock set up is has very long runners great for low end grunt but looks like a 80 yearold smoker running a marathon!! just my 2 cents worth Keith
That would be great I just sold a 200r4 without a core with a 3500 stall 9" non lock converter for $2000 this is the same unit that is in the bosses 9 sec. GNX Been there for two years. no prob's yet Keith
What part of ohio are you in I'm in pittsburgh we build High Po trans for customers dyno test them in house and build our own converters we have some 2004r out there running solidly low nines with trans brakes let me know if I can Help e-mail me with any Q's rx7260z@yahoo.com Keith
Just ask ScottieGNZ how well a 200r4 works that was the stock tranny in th buick grand nats. It is a very good trans with a host of aftermarket parts for it they can be bullit proof if built right. Keith
That started out life as a bunch of straight steel tube that we bent and fitted to the chassis let me know if you need any better shots or have any Q's You can E-Mail me at rx7260z@yahoo.com Keith
Here are http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/rx7260z/lst?.dir=/383+240z&.src=ph&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//photos.yahoo.com/bc/rx7260z/lst%3f.dir=/383%2b240z%26.src=ph%26.view=tsome pix of the cage I put in my 73 240
with the torque of a 383 and the leightweight of a z the rpm drop won't put you into a hole that a motor can't climb out of. The best way to avoid this would be a 2004r but I have a 700 behind my 383 and it works just fine!!! keith
I work in a large tranny shop Let me poke around and see what I can come up with. It may take a few days as we are very busy right now. You are using the stock shifter and a turbo 350 correct? Keith
Plus the added bonus of doing it your self I used to tell the wife it yould cost 300 to pay sombody my cost is 150 so I get 150 to buy speed parts with!!!!!
That looks like the same milton unit I have in my box at the shop I've been using it for about 5 yrs I did have to replace an o-ring in it about 2yrs ago pretty nice unit at a good price. Keith
I had already replaced the rockers, pans, subframe connecters and front frame rails before the cage but I had the cage welded up with the car on the ground at ride highth hope this helps Keith
Thanks BLKMJK I'm running it a bit rich just to keep deadly ping away but I'll be adding a supercharger this spring and as yoou know Boost+Ping=$$$$ I was wondering about the gauge is there one that is better than another I dont like the autometer one very much but I saw one by Nordskog Part Number D70140 that is about $170 from summit does anybody have feed back on this unit?? Thanks Keith
Can sombody point me to a good (not great) A/F guage? I need one to help me tune my Dellorto carb on my rx-7 I know of some that are only good when you are near 14.7:1 Will a wide band heated senson be more accurate over a wider band (hence the name wide band ) Please help Keith
I was pondering a new set of rubber and would like some feedback on this one. I have Kumho Ectsa Supra 712 205/50/zr15 on my rx-7 and they seem pretty good in dry weather not bad bite for the price but not sure about the long run and what will my z do to them? I know that my N/A rx-7 will smoke them pretty well will a v-8 destroy them?? Keith
Jim I'd love to but we just moved and almost everything I own is in cold storage (even my z) and will be until Feb. 1 ( house will be ready then) I sent out 5 or 6 copies maybe sombody else has a set?? Keith
