  1. I went satin black with my front bumper. spray can satin black. You know it will get chipped up eventually, and with spray can satin, you can touch up any time. With satin, you get an even looking coat, even if its not applied evenly. I can spot paint and you can't tell.
  2. Not gonna get in a bidding war, but I can do your valve cover and horns in the candy black, as above for 50 plus shipping. Mike
  3. sounds like air in your lines to me. Did you bleed the MC after installation?
  4. thats a great offer! Maybe those that are interested could have them shipped to one person and then reshipped here and save a little more.
  5. I got mine about a week ago. They are really nice, just need to get around to installing them.
  6. its only about 3-5 mils thick, so it shouldn't dull the sound. (of course, if you go with a candy 2 stage, its a little thicker, but I still think it won't change the sound) For black chrome, go with columbia coatings candy black. Its pretty nice. Black chrome when applied thin, and deep transparent black when applied thick. This is thick on a G35 intake plenum. You can see the depth in it.
  7. So I've got a L28ET block with dished pistons and P90 head, running NA with SU carbs. The car won't go above 4800 rpms under load. I was considering flat top pistons and an earlier head (I forget which one Eddie Radatz was recommending to me yesterday), but reading this, it seems like I could go with these pistons and keep my P90?
  8. they are pretty cool. I really like the 280z28 badge!

Welcome to the club! We need pictures! I've got an '05. Here is mine
  10. you should put a link. my install is on hold. I just put new wheels on the C6 and the offset is wrong on the rears. Now I have to send them back to the mfgr to get them corrected, and I'm just gonna leave the car on jackstands for a couple weeks rather than move the tires back to my old rims and then back to the new ones again. So now I will be driving the heaterless 240 to work for a couple of weeks (having dealt with iforged before though, I'm guessing for a month)
  11. I plan on doing the full course in Feb. with the THSCC/Triangle Z club, but I will probably be in my C6 instead of my 240 for that one.
  12. maybe you should tee it into the vapor recovery line instead of just capping it. then again, I really have no idea, and 2 gallons is excessive.
  13. No, Probably in the next week though. I've got a couple powdercoating jobs to do first, then I want to fix my heat (don't know if its just the valve or heater core, previous owner just cut the hoses and plugged them), install my 350z seats and install the gauges.
  14. I didn't see them on klearz.com , only 280zx side markers.
  15. thats basically what I was thinking, but I think the ambient light from the gauge numbers will be good enough. It can't be any worse than they are stock.
  16. when classiczcars.com comes back up, do a search over there. Someone recently posted how they eliminated the surge tank and most of the vent lines. Probably the route I will go when I redo mine, and keep the vent line to the engine compartment.
  17. I think I was about number 20. by reverse glow, do you mean black face with lit numbers? Thats what I got. I believe the needles are glow in the dark painted on the stock gauges. They can also be painted a flourescent orange to show up better. I did that on my last car when I put white faces on the gauges.
  18. they look about right to me! I think 17s would probably work too, depending on the wheel, but 18 is a little big
