I used to work for Batteries Plus and sold the Optima Yellow top for cars that sat for a while like Thumper recommended. Optimas are pretty pricey though and i only recommend Wal Mart batteries if you are selling the car.

The 383 can put out as much power as a BB, no modifications for the JTR kit, parts are more common and i think cheaper than the 400. Also if you want more "oomph" in the lower mid range you can probably choose the cam of your choice for your power needs. A mild 383 can run 400 h.p. - 425 ft/lb tq to 450-500h.p.-500+ ft/lb tq. or whatever you want. And have you ever driven any car with a 383 in it? Believe me, you'll be quite satisfied on the power band of the engine, if not, build one that will. good luck and stop 'wussificating' yourself.

The only thing i dont like about ethanol in general is because when you buy it you are still buying it from "the man". To be specific Archer Daniels Midland supermarket to the world. They are the ones who lobbied to use corn syrup to sweeten our sodas and are doing the same thing for ethanol. If it just went straight to help farmers, the little guy, i have no problems using it. But i agree with truckin, it's not the solution, just an alternative. And before this gets into a political discussion, i read that the flex fuel vehicles use a larger capacity fuel injector than the gasoline counterparts. Do you think that you would have to change that when you try out Megasquirt, or do you think MS can compensate?
