  1. Wow! I can't believe it!! You have an ABC convinience store in Va.?:lmao:Did you know they had an ABC in the Aladdin mall in Vegas. J/K Sounds like the M roadster was a great choice when you were looking for a replacement for the C5.
  2. Your biggest problem is because your in Saudi Arabia . Just Kidding! Check to see if your thermostat is defective or is opening partially or just slow to open. Next is test the flow of the water pump, they may have installed the wrong type. Then use another temp gauge to see if your getting accurate readings. Finally check to see if you have air in the system, you may have bubbles giving you a false reading.
  3. Here's a link for some info. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/fusiblelinks/index.html
  4. Most just want a core and as long as they see there is one they don't know or care if it's the same. I had purchased an alternator for a Firebird and returned it because i didn't care for the counterpersons attitude. I forgot to get my core back for the the next purchase, so a friends shop had an extra junk alternator for a Camry. So when i bought it at another store that's all i turned in as a core, of course that's after i made sure i brought home the Firebird alternator and made sure it fit first. Just go home and come back the next day and find another person to turn in the core if your paranoid.
  5. 95-00 Luminas especially with rear disc brakes do the same thing too. Make sure you clean the bolts, shims, pads before installing. Then get some synthetic caliper grease or brake grease and apply at the points where the brake pads slide or move including the sliding bolts. My car did the same thing yours did and after cleaning and lubing the points where the pads slide or move including the sliding bolts it now has normal wear. Good luck:icon28:
  6. It does look like it is crooked in the pictures, either way you still had to glass it and straighten it judging from the pictures. You still got a great deal for the airdam but you just had an idiot who packed it and sold it to you. That'll look really good on your car.
  7. yeah it was 107 but yesterday was a chillier 104 they are expecting a frigid 95 hopefully this Saturday.
  8. We have had seven straight days of over 100 degree weather here in the DFW area. It was 104 alone yesterday and they are expecting 105 today. Our electric bill was $258 for last month at 15.15 cents/kwh, it was only 12 last year and we haven't hit August yet. Derugulation is cheaper my butt, damn monopolistic.... oops! better stop here before it gets political.

I was hoping to have like a Jesse James style drag it out in the dessert shoot it full of holes. Then put it in a giant metal shredder wood chipper looking thing. Would make for a good time too......provided no one fell in the shredder.
  10. Ansel, Your mechanic probably thinks you have a Front Wheel Drive, get a new mechanic. Also follow what everybody just advised, turn or wiggle the wheel left to right while trying to turn the ignition key.
  11. I believe that 1998 was the year that the LS1's came out. I think the T56 were out since the new style Fbody's came out in 1993.
  12. Yep it's like the Rod Stewart song, some guys have all the luck. That's one heck of a find .
  13. The 200 from what i've seen is basically a 350 with an overdrive gear, the 700 gives a better first gear. Some people just prefer the 200 over the 700 but it really depends on who "built" it in my opinion because i've seen both perform well.
  14. Most of the time when i go to the local Pick n' Pull, the headlight buckets, fenders, doors, badges and hood are gone. The hatch is always there 75% of the time so i think you would be able to get the hatch with little problems. Good Luck and Welcome to HybridZ
  15. That Firehawk looks like it's been picked clean. Good job on the install.
  16. I saw your car on on Nopi too and didn't realize it was yours.
  17. Thanks for the offer spotfitz, i have a 75Z and have one fusible link holder and one of the spade connectors just basically fell off. So i managed to cut it off the holder and temporarily connect it to the fusible link directly. I got some help and pushed the car out anyway because for some reason i'm not getting power to ignition and fuel, so it looks like i'll be chasing some gremlins for a while. By the way nice install:2thumbs:
  18. I'll get the maxi fuse later but for now im just going to cut the wire below the fusible link holder. Then i'll directly connect the fusible link to the wire below the nub just to get the car out of the storage area. When i get a better area to work in i'll do the proper repairs, it's too hot to work where the car is right now.
  19. I was working on getting my 75 Z out of storage so i rebuilt and repaired a stuck left rear brake. Drained the tank, put new plugs and wires then i was going to clean the fusible link spade connections. Then i as i pulled one of the fusible links, the spade broke off from the fusible link holder! Question is can i just snip off the wire directly below where there is a 'nub' now and connect the fusible link to the wire temporarily? I just need to get it out of that spot and fix it properly later.
  20. Sport Z Magazine ceased publication, is this true? http://www.sportzmagazine.com Too bad i just got a gift for two year subcription for Christmas last year. I hope the new Nissan Sport magazine will really honor SZM subscribers. I already got screwed once by the first Z Car mag i don't want that to happen again. Besides we need a good Z magazine .http://www.nissansportmag.com/nissansportfaq.html
  21. Have a fire extinguisher handy just in case. Safety first!
  22. I've thought about this before but won't it be really expensive and will the car fit in the oven? The Z including bumpers is around 14 feet isn't it? If you account taking off the bumpers what is the average size of a powder coating oven?
