I finally found the grade 8 bolts in Home Depot! I found someone who works there that actually knows something about bolts. Although they cost a little more than what i paid for at the CAT place and not much in variety of sizes.

We've got quite a few in the DFW area some 350's a couple of LS1's and 383's i think. Keep an eye out, there is a lot from the whole state though.

Thanks for the tip Greg Georgia, here is a list of bolts that was given to me 1- 3/8 x 16 x 3/4 1- 3/8 x 16 x 2 1/2 2- 3/8 x 16 x 2 1/4 3- 3/8 x 16 x 3 4- 3/8 x 16 x 1 at least that's what i got so far, it does'nt include the bolts for the motor mounts to the Datsun mount. But i still have to mock the plates Sunday to the block to see if they are the proper length.

Well our Home Depot here in Irving sucks no grade 8 bolts. I didnt know the 5's would suffice,every body else on the board seems to share the opinion that the 8's are the standard. Of all places i got the bolts from CAT. You know they make the bulldozers, payloaders and other HUGE orange things. The mounts were only $9 bucks through a "friend."

Monday i paid $1.47 later, it went up to $1.53 now its $1.59 for Diamond Shamrock regular unleaded.

Does it matter if you buy an aftermarket motor mount or do you have to buy the Chevy OEM? I got some cheap from Carquest. Also, where do you guys buy your bolts for mounting the spacers and setback plates? Home Depot only has up to grade 5.

I have but for some reason a the 3800 series II of GM seems to be superior to the 3.8 Ford. Breaks their heart that they got beat by a Lumina.

$170 for both? I bought a 1904 from autozone for $325, it was a clearance item. It worked pretty good on my former brother Monte Carlo SS with a lopier cam and a stock manifold. But we had to sell it to some guy in Lousiana, it wouldnt pass the smog test here in Dallas. Good job on the score!

How could a V-6 Mustang outrun the interceptors? Did he lose you on the curves? I helped a friend drive home an interceptor once from a sheriffs auction. Considering the hours and miles on the car it still performed nicely except on some of the sharp turns. Anyway he's only going to use it for a year and try to get a DPS Camaro on the next auction.

Well the price is not a misprint, the shipping is only $3.95 but what i think is a rip-off is the $5.95 for handling. But all in all its a polisher for under $35. I've seen nicer ones at the pawn shops for around $60-100 but they're filthy and some were showing signs of wear on the bearing. All is well Racer, ate too much for chinese new year as usual.

Sheep Just got a friend of mine to fab up some spacers out of T6 aluminium and setback plates for free that helps with the budget. The project still has a long way to go so no chance for it to be finished this year. Youre welcome staledale

I actually saw that outside with my own eyes this morning, but i was wondering why there were two bright pieces and why the contrail was so wide from my vantage point. Turns out 10 minutes later when i went in what i saw was the shuttle breaking up as they indicated on tv. All i wanted to do was to see the shuttle live, i didnt really want to witness that.
