    I've know some kids driving LS-1 camaro and T/A filling up with 87 octane and later complain that the car seemed weak. I told them "what do you expect the computer is compensating for the lower octane. The lower the octane, less horsepower" I told them that if you just wanna drive it everyday to work it's fine but if you have a heavy foot then good stuff gonna have to be put in. They always give this look after i tell them this

    Hey Phantom, since you took off the vacuum reservoir, does the air go to the defrost mode on the windshield when you punch the gas? Just curious. 8)

    You'd think for a million dollar car they would've done a better job on the grill instead of using an upsidedown Edsel grill.

    It could be that you still have some air pockets. Or it could be just like an old car i used to drive, everytime i made a left turn it would spill out coolant thru the overflow tube off the reservoir. I didnt notice it till one day i drove into a circular drive fast and stop and notice coolant coming out of the right side where the tank sat. The tank was never overfilled, it was always on the line but it was enough to spill out and make me think i was burning coolant.

    The jeepneys arent taxis, its like a bus pay one rate to get to a certain point. The ones i rode in are usually worse looking with inadequate bakes.

    Glad to hear you got your sticker. When it comes to an inspection station Phantom is right by going to someone who knows you and not someone who is paranoid. Usually go to a semi dingy place who wants the quick buck and honks the horn and voila! sticker ready! Usually places with the name EZ stickers or Just plain state inspections or places who are not too technical looking are the places to go. You know, people named like Bubba III Jr. and Habib. Happy driving.

    It only gained 10 pounds? Was it weighed at the same scale before? That's pretty good weight distribution, are you still checking the systems out before terrorizing the streets in Arlington?

    Hi Racer, just wanted to say hi and thanks for your posts about paint prep. It helps with prepping the used cars we try to sell before bringing it to Mayucko! (Maaco) They want to charge $60-$80 just to sand the bad parts of the clearcoat of the top of the car. We now do it ourselves with the 400 grit wet sand. 8)

    I've used the Freeze 12 stuff, it's an ok substitute. I still have a half a tank of R12 i bought eons ago before the ban. Glad to hear that your ac issues have worked out, with the weather today as a preview your gonna need it. Yeah UPS is friendly but it still delays ya.

    Just out of curiosity, i assume your using 134A in your AC now? Are you still using your original condenser unit? By the way hang in there, you dont wanna get a stroke from these boneheads from UPS.

    I think that was called "The Last Chase" Any here remember the movie "The Car" made in 77? It's about a possessed car killing everybody in a small town. Anyone know what kind of car they used in "THE CAR"?

    I usually use a whole can of cleanser and sprinkle the thing around the spill and leave it overnight. It usually absorbs most of it and sweep the excess and use a strong spray to wash away the rest.

    jeromio is on the money it's sounds almost like the same problem my friend had with another car. Push start runs fine but wont fire when cranked at first. Solution was bad ignition switch, we found out that when cranking, power would actually shut off to the coil. Power to the coil was restored when put on the "ON" position. It may be related to something else like relays or bad contacts, but i hope this helps.

    You guys think it's bad now, wait till June after the 2nd Fast and the Furious movie comes out. It's going to be an all out rice fest with newly inspired posers and wannabes.
