  1. Charlie, this is a 1976 280Z with a 1973 front end, it came with a R200 rearend with ujoint style haftshafts, the R180 use a bolt through the haftshaft yoke . After using this setup for several years we upgraded to 300ZX Turbo CV axles after talking with other Hybrid Z owners ( Thanks to ZGAD, RIP/True soldier, and Paul Korsen)and purchased the stub axle flange adapters from Modern Motorsports. After doing this we have had no axle falures.Jerry
  2. Great runs, love it man. Love to see it on the back tires like that. I see you fixed the stumble........ What was your 60 ft.? John and Jerry
  3. Jeff, we use limiters on the front end to limit the travel of the upward motion. The travel was set at 3" that day, when we ran at PINKS ALL OUT we cut the travel in half to 1.5" this keeps the front end down and only picks the tires up 6" to 8" or less . Jerry
  4. LOOKS GREAT!!!!!Can't wait to see it in March.
  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DOC!!!!!!!! Look forward to seeing you in March.Jerry&John:mparty:
  6. No, a zip wheel.we cut a pie shape out of the wheelwell and pushed the fender lip forward and migged it back in place. It took about 15 minutes to do.Jerry
  7. Justin,we had to roll the top of the fenders, and opened the fender well in front of the tire and additional 3/4". Jerry
  8. Thanks Aron, I will bring your filters and gaskets to DNI in March, I have seen where Rip has been talking Smack already on the DNI site. Tell Rip we will take two links and the break.Jerry
  9. Knock on wood, we have never had any problems with Tech for the IRS,and we have raced at the PINKS All Out in Rockingham,N.C. and Bristol,T.N. without any problems.Jerry
  10. We can keep the front end on the ground by tightening the limiters on the front end. The car is very consistent. On a normal pass the car picks the frontwheels up about 6" to 12" and is very consistent. Thanks Jerry
  11. Happy Birthday Jon, looking forward to seeing you and your crew at DNI. Jerry & John
  12. When we go to SEZ/DNI we always bring (2) CV axles, (2) stub axles and a center chuck ( ring gear and pinion) a alot more spare parts. Jerry
  13. Yep the above is true, I just ordered two frame rails for our 280z. He replied the same day. I ordered them the next day and they came in last Friday. No problems and they are better than I expected, John

  17. Hello Uncle Wayne....... From what I hear....... you have something to show off as well. Look forward to seeing you at DNI.
  18. Thanks for the info Steve. Right now I am waiting to see if the guy will refund my money. So far he will not return my calls. I just get emails from his girlfriend. Ups did stop by yetserday to pick it up, but I would not let them. I can bring it to ups for them to inspect or they can come to me. So I guess I need to wait awhile before dissasembling it to see if it can be fixed. John
  19. It had a 8 point cage, and no frame connectors, all original floor pans and no body flex that we can see. But right now the car has no cage, I cut it out tonight. We are putting in a new cage 10 or 12 point, in preparation for the DNI shoot out in March. Jerry
  20. Yes,We have made some adjustments to the suspension to control the wheelie problem without using wheelie bars. Jerry
  21. John, when it comes I can feel if the car is going straight or not, but like in the video I got out of the throttle and set the car down, it looks cool but its not safe.I have had alot of guys giving me advice about short shifting our back peddling the throttle. On the video the first pass the car picked the tire up only 6 to 8 inches, we dropped the tire pressure 1 pound and the car did this. Jerry
