Any info on how your adapting the rear end to the zed? I would love to go this route but have yet to really find any info on the swap.

Sounds alot like the 70's "personal" wood steering wheel I found in the JY with hub and the Datsun horn button. Its times like these that makes it fun finding rarish things in the JY.

What 350 are you going to use?

I pulled my dash pad so I could repair the cracks. Only issue is when pulling it off of the frame I tore in half close to where a crack is. Does any one know any type of glue that I can use to repair the breakage?

I'm not using the stock efi harness for the lt1 just for the blinkers since they are in the same harness as the stock datsun one. Most likely i just have a short in the harness somewhere. I'm going to remove the dash any how to redo it and then I'll be able to re-connect everything with labels this time.

I'm running a standalone harness for the lt1. Looking in the FSM BE section where it shows all of the plugs and wires under the dash it would be #5. If i run a jumper wire from the WR wire to the BW wire it will allow me to turn on the blinkers. Now if I then turn the key in the ignition the relay on the passengers side (not sure what one) buzzes and smoke starts billowing out of the combo switch. Now I'm not sure why the stock datsun efi harness has to do with the flashers/turns i have no clue.

Now the issues are mostly electrical. Alternator is not charging the battery (easy to test just no time), and a wierd issue with the signal lights. When I plug a wire in the efi harness under the steering column and turn the key a relay on the passengers side buzzes and smoke starts billowing up from the combination switch. Hey at least I still have brakes and head lights! a few pics of it with my friends 73 rb25det neo swap (wish I could afford a nice paint job) and actual video of it

I would check a wiring diagram before hacking up those wires.

Go with the LT1 long block, its a SBC 350 already. Of course I am a little partial to the whole thing...

Beautiful build, quick question though. That Personal steering wheel that you got off ebay, if you dont mind how much was it? I found the exact same one in a JY with the hub adapter and the Datsun horn button for $10. I grabbed it since I had never seen one before, I might end up keeping it but I sort of like my Carrol Shebly steering wheel that I have on now.

Now that its painted I really like the looks of it! Thumbs up to thee!

Interesting cowl, I would have broght the front part foward a little more to give it a lower rise. Still props on the ingenuity.

My opinion is to just buy it. If something is bad after you get it you'll be able to part out the rest that is coming with it. For $250 thats a drop in the "oil" so to speak. The long tube headers were are still prob worth just that. Now if he was asking $1k for it then I would be a little worried.

Lucky I still cant get mine to work right. I've tried the bump trick and still nothing, I'm hoping its just air in the system. Edit Just adjusted the pushrod that goes into the master, I know have better pedal play but still no go for gears. I have a friend coming over this weekend to powerbleed the system to see if thats it. If not we will be dropping the tranny to see whats going on.
