  1. ^^^ yup,(1979 citrus green) this is not the end result color. Sorry for the thread jack. Love the way yours is coming out. I am using a 1:1 ratio of paint and thinner. So far it seems to be drying with in 7-8 hours. Keep us updated on how yours is coming!
  2. I just got a pint of semi-gloss white and had them tint it with a green that I liked. The original green was much darker but of course it was not made to be added to rustoleum. I actually really like the way it came out.
  3. I'm doing this exact same thing right now. I'm spraying mine on with a cheap Harbor Freight gun though.
  4. Woot!!! good to hear everything has gone as some what planned (so far).
  5. Another exapmle of how our education system has let us down. How can the manufacturer be that far off on mesurements?
  6. Yeah the 95+ have the vented ones and require vaccuum from the intake. If I could afford it I would just go Megasquirt with ford edis-8
  7. Found out the ECU is bad, going to try to find one locally, if not send mine in to get replaced/repaired with the eprom reflashed. If I can't get it running correctly by feb 1st then on to the 383 swap.
  8. can't afford the intake/carb, dizzy right now. If i have to swap i get everything for free.
  9. oh yeah bulb wont go out... I just downloaded a full re-wire step through for this harness. If after I get it rewired from scratch if it still does not work i'll go with the 383.
  10. I'm running a standalone harness with the check engine light witht he fuses. It won't even blink when trying the "paperclip" trick.
  11. I had a friend come over with an odb1 scanner and even it would not link up to the PCM. We tested everything that we could think of. with it being a 93 ecu I could not just swap out the ecu.
  12. Well I have an interesting dilema that I would like to hear your inputs on. I have not been able to get my LT1 to run (injectors are not firing), I have trouble shot it down to either the PCM or the EProm chip. Now My wife wants me to get the car out of the garage and get it running. I put the engine on CL in the barter section. I was asking if any one wanted to trade my LT1 for a Carb'd 350. I had a guy call me saying he just pulled a 350 bored to a 383 stroker. He wants the LT1 for his 36 chevy. The 383 came out of a 94 chevy truck, the engine was rebuilt with forged internals back in 2007 and pretty much just sat there for the past 4 years (lost title to truck and they burnt the tranny (th400). He also said he has all sorts of intakes and carbs to pick from. So if I do decide to swap the guy what intake should I look for and what carb? I was thinking a 600 quad but not sure if that will be to much. Thanks
  13. What I did was run the switched wire to a toggle switch in case I need to shut it off real fast. Just grab a toggle switch run a constant 12v wire to it (with fuse)then a ground and then the swiched from the harness. In case of a fire or anything I can just flip it down and it turns off the engine.
  14. I think he means instead of the pipe going to the left, he wants it to "Y" so it goes both right and left.
  15. I love the look of it, you should do a set for the 370z as well!
  16. I saw a set of R32's on ebay for $20... I was sooo tempted to get them.
  17. I came across some other ideas... 68 Datsun 510, or the skyline c210
  18. Also depends on what engine you use, 93-97 lt1's are optispark so no need to change brackets. 98-2000 ls1/lsx are Coil on plugs so no dizzy as well.
  19. also try looking for some c110 skyline tails, they would look great in a 280zx.
  20. If I had a spare $25k laying around I would get a 70's DeTamaso Pantera. Its essintially a Ford with a different body. I would not mind a 90's Lotus Esprit Turbo either though.
  21. You have to bring that badboy down to vegas one of these days!
  22. I have to thought about the Delorean lights but for the cost of the assmblies just to check is not worth it.
  23. Try going to the manufacurer websites you can usually buy the parts seperatly and cheaper some times.
