  1. The short answer is, you'll need 2 more stock axles [for a total of 4], maybe some new boots, new shortened axles, and adapters like these... http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=57 or you can contact "mas280" and see if you can get a pair of his adapters. they go for $200, i got mine from him, beautiful part. you'll also need a custom driveshaft. some people also reccomend upgrading to the 280z stub axles, and companion flanges. search around to get the details about all the pieces.
  2. that looks like a pretty elaborate fake to me. i don't know what kind of skill it would take to make something like that, but to me that looks considerably hard to make... eh
  3. How much are they approx? Every time these mounts are mentioned i never see any price... J Taylor: Should the driveshaft work with an rb26 as well? Do you have a short nose diff?
  4. well, it had one sticker, "inviZible", and that is anything but......
  5. reminds me of the opel manta, in terms of style.. gorgeous
  6. Just to clarify, Series 1 z cars that came with an automatic shouldn't have different mounts from one that came with a manual right? I don't think i've heard of people having to swap tranny mounts for other L series swaps... I'm kinda in the same boat as some of the other guys, where i don't have so much fabrication skills/resources. [yet]
  7. I know a metric ton of english speaking, japanese people, i could try to find out someone who may help translate it. How would I put the translation onto the movie though?
  8. i know s30's use 5"... not sure about s130's. you could probably just measure yours and use whichever one the size is closest to.

  10. read the brake options FAQ i think it should answer the question. That was referring to the old drum brake backing plate. unbolt it, Cut it off with a sawzall. to cut it off...make 2 cuts in it like a wide slice of pie
  11. Maybe it's got the rb20 like the japanese only 200zr...
  12. i thought the big problem with s30's aerodynamics was that too much air was coming into the engine bay.
  13. LOL, i know exactly what you're talking about. i was driving behind a chrager today, and i was thinking.. "what is that, an intrepid? why did they paint the trunk black?" then i passed it, looked back...oooOOooo... i like the second one a lot better, it looks a lot more like a traditionally modded s30, with a modern-ish widebody. lookin good. although i've wondered what that style of airdam would look like with small round halo driving lights like the MSA type 3 instead of ducts. maybe it could be an option or something. and the turnsignals could be eliminated too. the dual headlight element looks kinda busy imho...
  14. i'm doing this for my 71 s30, i got a clutch pedal from a jy 75 280z, didn't fit, they changed the design.. i just ordered a pedal assembly from a 71 z, so hopefully it works out this time..
  15. This is for those of you who have done the q45 vlsd swap, or are considering it. Some of you may have wanted to upgrade the rubber mounts to urethane. I've searched for them, and couldn't find any. I just did some quick measuring, because i've got a q45 vlsd diff, and a 300zx tt vlsd diff sitting in the garage, and the rubber mounts seem to be the same. I'm going to take them out later for some more precise measurement, if anybody is curious. The urethane mounts are available for the 90-96 300zx tt diff., and pretty easy to find. Don't just go ripping out the mounts, and tossing them, you need to re-use the metal parts in the mounts for the urethane upgrade.
  16. maybe he meant rotating mass...not reciprocating?
  17. Anybody see the clip of the "spiral fracture" some guy got at an arm wrestling tourney? sickening...
