I will try to stay pretty neutral on the subject as I would like to see all opinions. But I feel that the subject has been brought up and discussed due to the way a former "Hybrid Z" build was conducted. It can be done better. I think that is the point. All good opinions guys. Keep em comming!!

Cant really say exactly how I feel about that "ride", but a couple of you came real close. Quite the "rig". I'll light the match!!!

After reading thoes threads, I felt depressed. I mean....are they serious? If I found myself suddenly living like that...Im sure that I would shoot myself!!

Good stuff guys. I noticed that well over 100 people have viewed the thread and only 8 with the sack to toss out their opinion! Good, bad or indifferent. Lets hear it! Everyone has put in some great thoughts. Keep em comming!

It has been suggested by the administrators that a thread be started to guage the interest in a, (in part), forum sponsored, highly monitored Z car build for the purpose of promoting the Z car experience and the Hybrid Z philosophy to the public via racing events. There has been much discussion of the type of events as well as the type of car build. That is the topic of a separate thread. What is asked here is...how many of you are willing to be a part of a maintained, shown, raced Hybrid Z? Small or large...lets hear it.

Dr. Hunt Many thanks for your hard work and constructive comments through all this. Are you suggesting to PM the Admins or use this thread/start a new one? Im game for support. Where do we start? Many thanks...

Best tool to cut patch repairs out with?
Twoeightnine replied to BlackBeaut's topic in Fabrication / Welding
Can anyone chime in on the plasma cutters general cost. The 110 type. Sounds like a must for the tool box. Cant have too many tools, can we? -
Is everyone using 24 gauge mild steel for patches
Twoeightnine replied to goldenchild7801's topic in Fabrication / Welding
20 guage here. Was a touch thick in some aplications (just flushed up the metal to the exposed side), just right in others. Welded nicely, and was easy to fab on. I call the local metals dealer and said that I needed some "automotive sheetmetal" they didn't even waiver and said "how much". I correctly figured that it would not be their first request. -
Best tool to cut patch repairs out with?
Twoeightnine replied to BlackBeaut's topic in Fabrication / Welding
They make a thin "cut-off" wheel for your 4.5 angle grinder. You will be suprised at how many places you can use it on. It will slice through a Z like butter. I used this method on the frame rail replacement I did. Rust was not the main issue with mine. Some a$$ tried (repeatedly) to jack the car at the frame rails with a bottle jack know that it takes more than one tool usually to accomplish all of the repairs you mention. Good luck. -
How does a cam change compression readings
Twoeightnine replied to Bernardd's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
Isn't a performance cams job to get more fuel and air into the cylinder? That being the case, more fuel and air into the original cylinder would mean that at top dead center we have compressed more volume into the same space resulting in greater compression readings. Right? -
Hi. I drive a $40k BMW. I spent $6 for suspension mods

First they are going to air "The Making Of PINKS" episode then the Z car episode. They usually have a half hour show, one race. They just drag it out wit the usual commercials....

Vote for powerplant for possible new build!
Twoeightnine replied to dr_hunt's topic in Non Tech Board
My personal preference for MY Z is the SBF. Butt....I voted SBC because of installation support, persons involved preference, cost, reliability, aftermarket support, power potential. No brainer.... -
ZX rear disc brake conversion
Twoeightnine replied to deja's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
Mike Gibson fonebooth.com? Check this out. http://forums.hybridz.org/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=8134 Modernmotorsports does a great job. I have ordered a lot of stuff from Ross C. If you have e-mailled him, he will respond. He is also a member here as well as in the vendor forum. -
Thank you for your response. How about a pure frontal shot of a air damed first gen. Photo taken at about headlight high. Then squashed atouch, and widened a touch? No background? Not a problem? Then I would like to submit a car owned by another member and have the color changed and stripes added. It's paint time! Want to get a visual. What do you think? You can PM me if you would like.

smog laws nationwide to duplicate california's laws ?
Twoeightnine replied to waynekarnes's topic in Non Tech Board
In Denver they too have no burn days because of the inversion effect. It's a clear point that a ban on burning wood in ones fire place has little to do with autos. Airborn particulate matter of any kind is going to turn the skies brown. Regardless I venture to say that the national laws will resemble the California laws but not exactly. I, for one, hope that the year cut off is extended to ...lets say 1980. Now that wouldn't be because I have a 77 would it! -
Very interesting. I will get with you on monday. I have a computer at home but still have not been able to log onto Hybrid Z from there lately. Not sure why but, working on it. I have a couple of projects for ya. Must insist on paying for it though. Only option. First Z? Welcome! See you soon...

For racing, I say HELL YES! I miss the leaded fuels. But for farting around downtown, isnt it unlawful? So is speeding right? Im not a prude or a tree hugger for the most part but it would seem to be a race only option. Can one get busted for buring it on a daily baisis?
