  1. Summertime Boys! Go outside and play! With the Z of course.
  2. Nice Boostpunk, very nice! OK how about Burger King! I mean....Have It Your Way!! I can see a huge patty on the hood...and fries...here it comes.... on the side.
  3. The Cheezy theme is quite appropriate. Left me pretty much speachless. At least there isn't any thing I can think to say that would not be censored. We'll just say that it looks as if someone threw a cheese grenade on the poor Cutlass. There that wasn't so bad!
  4. Seems like the "staff" is neutral to positive about having a rep car up to this point. As far as folks contributing to any type build. Some do, some dont. I think thats the way it's always been. Shall we press on?
  5. Courtesy of JTR manual. Have a good day yall!! http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Chevrolet_S-10_V-8_Smog.html
  6. Fast on the draw arn't I? Dangerous to use that dictionary yes. But you must admit. It was a heap smarter than I was. Start here... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=82794&highlight=280zx+swap I need more rest:rolleyesg Thanks Darrel...
  7. Yep, yep. My bad. I told you I was confused:mrgreen: I'll slink away now. Sorry. The 280ZX was a complete redesign, retaining only the L28 engine and other driveline components. A turbo option was introduced, bringing the 280ZX's stock performance above the level of the original 240Z for the first time. The 280ZX shared the Nissan 510's platform and suspension, with MacPherson struts in front and trailing arm independent rear. The wheelbase was down from its predecessor at just 91.3 in, and a 2+2 version was offered as well. The 280ZX was branded in the American market as the Datsun 280ZX. A turbocharged model (L28ET engine rated at 180 hp) was introduced in 1981. In the US market it was initially available with a 3-speed automatic transmission. In 1982 and 1983, the 280ZX Turbo was also available with a Borg-Warner T-5 5-speed manual transmission (this was the first Nissan which used a non-Japanese transmission; the T-5 was also used in the GM F-bodies and Ford Mustang).
  8. Im confused. 280ZX is a turbo, right? Im a first gen dude. But?
  9. Very clean ride! The color says it all. Bought it as a present you say? Did the previous owner die or something? I would not have parted with it! Welcome....
  10. Thats cool. Can you believe it folks, Mike, clowning a Vette owner!! That's priceless! I'll bet that felt good!
  11. If you make a run at it, I would take four hats.
  12. Fine example Doc. A quality, purpose built, project is what its all about. And thats truly regardless of the racing genera. It's about representation and pride. The car/site deserves that type of representation. One project or more, I'll support a project of this caliber. Any other projects with this caliber potential?
  13. When I was working in the eighties for a company called Classic Aircraft. The aircraft that we were building was of the tubing, bulkhead and fabric. The fuselage main structure is molly tubing. If one didn't know and saw one stripped, you would think it was an antennae tower. A braced tube structure. During welding the mech will drill a hole to any tube that will cause closer of the adjacent tube assembly. When comeplete, the fusalage assembly is placed on a stand and pumped with linseed and rotated. It is then drained and a weld bead plaed at the entry and exit holes. I didn't engineer the process but it was part of the Blue Print.
  14. My only regret is that I cant vote twice!
  15. I think that we are speaking of members who would wish to donate. My statements were geared to suggest that a sponsorship fund could include the site it'self. If persons wish to promote the Z Car experience, the site (Hybrid Z) does that as well.
  16. Interesting thoughts quicker240. It is easy math to see that a few hundred folks that are sponsorship friendly tossing in a five dollar bill into a fund that was properly managed could go a long way in promoting our beloved Zs. Be nice if it worked that way. It certainly could. Site support has a need as well. Any though to site support being part of a sponsor program. That would also keep with the no subscription required mind set that Dan has maintained and leave the funds issue to the givers on a continued voluntary basis. Sponsorship would go towards event and site support. Two birds, one stone.
  17. Well put Larry. Trust is in short supply these days. The best situation has always been to have something to sell. A product to support. Something to put your hands on. Concepts are a tough sell.
  18. Remix... Number four. With the blessing of number three. Under the ever watchful eyes of number two.
  19. Re do. Be careful. No rattle can. Rattle can prime is not compatable with the colorcoats that will lay on it. Press on.
  20. Number four. With the blessing of number three. Under the ever watchful eyes of number two.
  21. Some good points and questions veritech-z. Sponsorship is and should be a voluntary activity. I trust that with respect to Hybrid Z, any "house" car has to serve the purpose of positive image reinforcement. Trust driven thumbs up from the admin staff will have its own inherent person filter built in. The type of car/cars is not the issue. It's a do or dont situation as far as supporting what ever project/s get a nod. im sure one thing we can all agree on is that it has to enhance the Z car and the community of Hybrid Z. Other wise....why? What ever shakes out of the deal, if I think it will serve the purpose as discribed above, it will have my support.
  22. Welcome. Refreashing to hear the retarded question statement! Very nice ride you got there. Ulises...nice Z. If its for sale, some one better snatch it. As for you wanting a silver Z, thats why God invented the painter.
  23. I know this my sound simplistic but, with the stock intake manafold, prob stock heads, and no header, your engine is over carburated. Drop back to at least 600cfm, maybe even more, jetted for your altitude and I will venture to bet... she loves it! You can always go ol school after that and check your exhaust pipe color. gray...is OK.
  24. One, two, drag, cone shagger, the more the merrier. The topic is whether we should allow Hybrid Z sponsorship. And for me, the big question that I have not seen touched is....how? Guidelines. Rules. Operating standards. The how, not the who. The how will help define the who.......
