  1. I second that, just as long as the other side looks the same. Nice Z for the price! !M!
  2. Mike G. (scca) hasn't been around here for some time now. Anybody know what happened to him? !M!
  3. Theoretically, black paint transfers heat better than nothing at all. I remember there was a discussion about that some time ago on here. From that discussion, it was shown that paint, other than black, on a radiator had very little effect on its performance. !M!
  4. Joel, Would you happen to have a picture showing how close the seat backs are to the door jamb? I'm looking at those seats as well, but would like to see if there is room for the cage. !M!
  5. You know, I have been through quite a bit while I've been at this site, almost died a couple times... but the only thing that kept me going (as crazy as this may seem) was the thought of getting my Z on the road under it's own power and just be damn proud of what I had built. I haven't even thought about what to do after it's running and the body is finished. And now, you have me thinking maybe I should just sell the car when I have come so far and when it's almost complete then use the money as a down payment for a house and get my life going... maybe my car was just there for me to keep me head up? Hmmm... !M!
  6. Haha! Have any of you guys seen "Fart within the Matrix"? I was in tears laughing. !M!
  7. Wow, that looks nice Scottie! Just out of curiousity, what did you paint the cage with? !M!
  8. Yup, Derek G.'s GNZ. Mike, all I know is that he told me he is running motorcycle slicks on the factory wheels. For such skinny tires, they really hooked up nicley. !M!
  9. I guess your best bet is to dig around the concrete and wiggle it back and forth to get it out, like previously stated. If you still had some wood above the concrete, you could have drilled a hole through the wood, slid a chain through and pulled it right out of the ground with a cherry picker (engine hoist). !M!
  10. I still like my old plate... HAD E NUF. It's either a statement or a question. I now have collector plates so, I can't have any fun with them. I like HIGHPSI (good luck getting that one) and my favorite is S30 RB26 Trust me, your city WILL know what that means after a while! !M!
  11. Just a FYI, a guy I know has the same wheels with motorcycle slicks and he is running 10.50's in the 1320. !M!
  12. I had a thread about just that from back in '02, but it's not turning up in a search. The consensus was that it's just not that safe. !M!
  13. Haha! I still chuckle thinking about that. I lost those pictures from that thread when I got a new computer. !M!
  14. Cool, looks good . You wouldn't happen to have any more pictures of your adjustable lower control arms, would you? They look interesting. !M!
  15. Mike, just because he has a lot of money doesn't necessarily mean he has a lot of brains. Let it go. Go to the local gun range and plug off a few rounds, that usually helps get some anger out (most gun ranges let you rent guns). EDIT: Wait, scratch that. I just saw you're drinking! See, this is why I'm into martial arts. This way I can beat the crap out of a bag or my instructor, BUT if some Joe takes a swing at me... it will definitely be a life lesson for them. I see you edited your post, but did you happen to see the Star Boys link that Alex posted the other day? The interweb busted the guy, because he was spouting his mounth off. Just something for you to think about. !M!
  16. Tire falls off, but then... Right click, save as !M!
  17. Ah, here is the thread: Click here The guys name is Jim Halsey. Unfortunetly, the links to the pictures no longer work. EDIT: Here's some more information from one of his other posts... "I am in the process of building a 72 240 Z. The car will be stock appearing but will be powered by a Viper crate motor and will use a T56 6 speed and R200 rear. Most major fabrication is complete, motor and trans in car, new chrome moly front cross member, engine set back 4 inches to get engine behind cross member and down in the chassis. Firewall recessed, trans tunnel reshaped to accomodate the T56. Viper motor is 505 lbs fully dressed with clutch, flywheel, starter, alternator, A/C compressor, power stg pump and sepentine accessory drive. Stock tubular headers fit nicely, the collectors need to be rotated to face the rear. Have run two box section rails back through the floor to tie the front and rear together for stiffness. Also will soon have the 10 pt roll cage in and then i can go looking for seats to fit. Full road race coil over and tubular control arm setup from Arizona Z with 6 piston Wilwood calipers in front, 4 piston in rear, 5 bolt aluminum hubs. Car will have power windows, A/C, stereo, full cell, headlight covers, louvered hood, fire suppression system, otherwise stock appearing. Will run Fluidyne aluminum radiator with integrated oil cooler. Wheels will be 17x8, 17x9, forged, undecided on make, also paint is up in the air. Car is being built by Nelson Vels, Billet Works, Santa Clarita, Ca. He has done several V8 conversions in early Z cars and is into doing this car a little differently. Probably 6-8 months from hitting the street. Will also give it a go at open track on the big track at Willow Springs." !M!
  18. We have a thread somewhere on here where the owner of the car chimes in. If I remember right the Z is located somewhere on the west coast (California or Washington?) I tried searching for the thread, but no luck finding it. !M!
  19. I like these updates . So... didja' get Bruno an' Knuckles to work your chassis guy over or what? I'm seeing some progress here . !M!
  20. Cool body work and interior! BUT, the front end says "S2000". It just doesn't fit the rest of the car. !M!
