  1. How is the fit of the well cell? On the ATL website it says you have to put the cell together yourself, was this hard to do? Overall, how do you like it? !M!
  2. I can totaly picture this! lol !M!
  3. I'd say the best sign I ever aquired is a "THIS AREA IS PROTECTED BY NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH" It's got a man dressed in black crawling through a window with the red circle and slash through it. People get a kick out of seeing it hanging on the wall. !M!
  4. Look at the link I posted up top. fastzcars on here has this well cell. I PM'd him, but never got a response. Maybe he will chime in??? !M!
  5. I had this happen last week to me. I wanted to drive my Z so I'm still futzing with the L24 that's in there. It had an exaust leak, because a exaust stud broke off flush with the header flange. So I used my EZout kit for the second time ever and went to work. Drilled it out with no problem and stuck the extractor in... started to apply some muscle.... started to turn!!! then SNAP SON OF A #$$#@@!#@$. Well a 20 minute job turned into a 4 hour job. I took off the intake manifold and then took off the header so I could get a vice grips on the exaust stud. Turned it out just fine. I also welded up some cracks in the welds of my header while I was at it. Moral of the story? EZout's are the LAST resort. The first time I used one of those suckers was on my buddies doghouse on his GN. Snapped it right off. Boy were we pissed! I'm tossing away my EZouts, they are more trouble than they are worth, they just seem to brittle to be of any good use. Well, where did the stud snap off? Could you possibly take the header off and grab a hold of it with a vice grips? You are going to have A LOT of trouble drilling that thing out again with an extractor stuck inside of it. !M!
  6. When I was trying to find out if aluminum wheels could be cut and widened, I found a company down here in Milwaukee that would make me some steel wheels in any width, offset and bolt pattern I wanted for about $50 each. I'll see if I can dig up the company name and number for ya. !M!
  7. I remember seeing that picture recently, but I thought it was put in a giant oven to cook off everything? !M!
  8. Go to your album and upload them there so everyone can see your Z! -click on "Album" up top -click on "Your Personal Gallery" -click on "upload pic" You will upload them from your computer. Simple as that. !M!
  9. It's fun making stuff out of metal, hey? Sure it's just a hunk of metal and some welds, but to us it's a work of art! !M!
  10. It's given me a few problems before. You click on it then read a post, but when you click "back" it logs you out. When you log back in, there is obviously no new posts since your last visit. Kinda sucks sometimes. !M!
  11. I will end up with what you see above, but I may go with the Wilwood Superlite calipers. I can get the rotors and calipers downtown from a speed shop that deals with circle track cars. I just have to price out the Wilwood and Outlaw stuff, not sure what I want to go with yet. I don't have the spec sheet on me, but the rotors that were available to me were the same sizes offered by scca. The speed shop guy just had rotor hats that slid over the studs. That's why I've been looking for someone to make some rotor hats for me. As for the adaptors for the calipers, I don't think we will be able to find a bolt on aftermarket caliper for use with a larger diameter rotor. If I remember right scca's calipers needed an adaptor to bolt to the strut, BUT please don't quote me on that. Speaking of him, you don't see him post much on here anymore. !M!
  12. Oh, woops. You meant the area directly above the tail lights... Sorry, thought you meant the hatch itself . !M!
  13. Looks like the leaning tower of piece of crap... or something. What the heck are these morons thinking? Sure they are making their vehicle different from all the rest (yeah, sure...) but what are they smoking to think that is "The Shiznit". As the picture was downloading, I thought I was going to see a top fuel dragster, but instead I see this monstrosity bolted to a "pimped out" Civic. Usually when I see those big arse wings on the back of a front wheel drive car I'll say loud enough for the driver to hear, "Aww, isn't that nice of them, they made a park bench for the old people to sit on." But, this... he/she just better heed those low overpass signs. !M!
  14. He was looking for the 4.11 gears, not 3.90's. !M!
  15. Well for me, I can purchase the calipers and rotors localy very cheap. I just needed to find someone to make the rotor hats. Everyone that I have talked to in Milwaukee won't do single orders or they are just to busy. I'll only have a few hundred into the front brakes when I'm done and still have a bad@ss setup. !M!
  16. What is different between this setup and the last one you had? Awsome workmanship! !M!
  17. YES!!!!! When can I buy them???? I have been looking for someone around here that would make me some rotor hats, but if he is making them then I'm sold. I need front brakes real bad! !M!
  18. RacerX, Thanks I need to take some more pictures, all I have is the one you see in my posts. I'll give you the run down untill I can snap a few more shots... pretty clean body, white split spoke w/polished lip 17X7" wheels, VW headlights, white painted grill, coilovers for that cool stance and that's pretty much what you can see. There is a bigger photo of that picture in my personal gallery. I should have more pictures posted within a week. !M!
  19. Good idea! If he can get them, I'll pitch in a few bucks. Larry's a good guy. !M!
  20. "Forbes Fact Z cars won ten consecutive SCCA C-Production championships, and in 1979, Paul Newman's team won in a 280ZX-bodied 240Z. Newman also raced the first production Z sold in the U.S., which is now owned by Jim Frederick of Tampa, Fla. The first Z of any kind sold in the U.S. went to the Bob Sharp Racing team in late 1969. It is still raced in vintage rallies and is now owned by Dr. Allen Robbins, who lives outside Rochester, N.Y. " Now that's cool. !M!
  21. 6'2" 200lbs. and I agree with Mudge, the headliner can interfere with the hair sometimes, but my hair sticks up off my head a few inches (like that Ty dude on Trading Spaces). Haven't wore a helmet in the '73 yet, but I would bet if you slumped down a bit you can make it work. Oh yeah, the seat is all the way back. When I get new seats, I'm going to see if I can mount them lower to the floor. Lots of leg room though. Very comfortable to cruise around in !M!
  22. I thought that one was silver in color? Then again, it's been awhile since I've seen that movie. !M!
  23. Cool! I was looking at this one myself http://www.atlinc.com/racing/page10.htm !M!
