I'm no expert on the subtleties between man and woman, but I do know why women have two hands...

...and why men have two hands...

what do you all think?
Yawn.
Be a man... give it to me and build yerself a real motor

the dude paid for the car, he's free to "modify" it how he likes, no?
Thank You! Give that man a cigar.
It'll be a cold day in hell when any man tell's me what I can and cannot do with a car that I pay'd for. It belongs to me. I'll crush it, piss on it, let Braap move it with his tractor, or set in on fire... you'll just have to get over it.
Morals and automobiles don't mix boy's... leave'em at the door with your coat.
Peace be with you.

To compete, the car would need to be differentiated from the rest somehow.
A bit of a tangent... maybe it need's to be YOUR car. YOUR design. YOUR etc. It will take many more years to bare fruit, but I think the potential is greater (both of failure and success). BUT, whichever way it goes, you'll alway's have unbeatable pride in your accomplishment.
Steve Grabber (grabbercars.com) is headed down that very path. Drop him a line. He's a terrific guy and would surely share his thoughts and experiences along the way. Tell him I sent you!

Prayer's on the way.
If it matters at all, cancer has been prevalent in my wifes family. Three cases in the last 6 years. Sadly, my sister-in-law didn't make it, but the other two have beat it, with no expectations of reoccurrence. It can be beat.

I have had this problem for some time now..
You didn't mention if this was something that developed over time or its 'alway's been that way'. The more clues the better. If its the latter, maybe your water pump is the wrong one... throughout the years, GM spun the water pump with both V-belt and serpentine... they are not interchangeable, as the direction of rotation is opposite.

hey... what's that white e30 doing back there?! !!!
Buyer backed out and I decided to keep it.... for now.
Good lord!!!! That thing looks awfully involving to drive...You ought to see him start it!

'Special Ed', A mutual friend of Braap and I, stopped by to show us his new toy... a 1917 Ford Model T.
Turns out, Ford was using multi-coil technology (with wood housings no-less!) as early as 1908...

OMG what I do to hear and drive an F40 in person.. havent been that lucky in the mile high city
Prox,
As Paul mentioned, the F40 was the sound-king of the lot. Here is a great video playing its song...
2400lbs, 478 HP, 0-60 in 3.5 seconds

The gentleman responsible for inviting both Braap and I forwarded me a couple of his own pictures...

Spending the afternoon surrounded by 'Prancing Horses' is hard to beat. The light was so harsh it was tough to stay motivated with the camera, but captured a few worth sharing...

Just my opinion I never thought these were all that affordable after looking. Maybe I'm below average.
Two years ago I paid 11,800 for mine. And, loosely quoting Yasin, its 'nice'. Seems pretty affordable to me. I apologize if my sensibilities are askew.
Secondly, its worth roughly 14k today. Still affordable (IMO), and possibly more importantly, it has appreciated in value. I expect this trend to continue, at least momentarily.
What, may I ask, did you pay for your 2006 Sienna and 2002 Frontier?
When the 240z came out in the US, it cost 3600 dollars,What was true 20 or 30 years is irrelevant.

I have a fair collection of pictures. I'll throw them up as time permits. Here are a few to whet your appetite.
Note: credit is due to the members of s14.net for the majority of these...

Now you've done it. I created a youtube account and uploaded one of my favorite vids of the E30 M3. The intake noise is mesmerizing... and far louder than the exhaust. Notice the two-wheel action at 42 seconds.

Anybody know anything about the diesel water pump? I thought I had heard something abou it having a higher flow capacity at one time.
Tim,
PM jgkurz and drag him into this. He's adapted the diesel pump. I only know bits of it... so best to get it staight from the horses mouth.

The E30 M3 is definitely one of the most desirable cars to be ever built. Its lines, power and balance have made sure that it will forever be a "wanted" car.
This months Automobile Magazine listed the E30 M3 as one of the top 5 'drivers cars' in history.
Ron's car is one of the nicest I have seen. Ultra clean, ultra sexxxy.
Thank you. Considering its 20 years old and 170k miles on the clock... its still pretty nice.

When I heard you were going to sell it I was going crazy haha.
I took it off the market today... gonna keep her for a while.
Mind if I save some of those pics to my computer??
Be my guest

Spence,
You hit one of my soft spots. Of all the cars I consider affordable by us 'average' folk, my two favorites are S30's and E30's. Here's a few shots of my own personal E30...

What manual trans are you going to go with for the VH?
Well, I can't speak for OTM, but he could configure his Wolf3D system to run the VH automatic... Paddle shifters just became 'easy'.

Key to any harmonic is to pass through it as fast as possible to minimise the chance for resonance.
I prefer to pass through all RPM's as quickly as possible

Automatic transmissions are good for 120K miles behind the 12 cylinder. If it hasn't already been repalced, plan on replacing it.
My son-in-law's tranny went belly-up under 100K (V8). Maybe a fluke?!?!
Little bit of help for the noob!

As was mentioned, the swap is very similar to a traditional small block conversion.
Buy the JTR manual if you don't already own it.
...and yes, the biggest difference is the EFI system. You have many choices. The cheapest... utilize a stock harness. The easiest... is probably a Painless Wiring harness.
