  1. i've got a clean 73 roller in palm springs and might be able to trailer it to fresno for $100+fuel.
  2. ancient info, but a nice reminder of why people hate california. I have no problem with smogging a newer car, or getting a swap legalized, but at what point are the smog nazi's going to far with this? It's perfectly acceptable to have newer cars inspected and smogged, but when you start picking cars that are almost 40 years old for random compliance testing, it's just going a tad too far.
  3. Can you get me some pics of that vg dizzy? i might be able to put analog s130 guts in a spare vg dizzy I have.
  4. Is that a vacuum advance i see on the dizzy?
  5. I think you need to pull the sound deadener off to actually see the floors.
  6. Tracks are fun and safe, but what about those that can't afford to go to them, or don't have the time? what's your guys argument for that?
  7. He's a good guy to do business with, even nice enough to keep me updated on the progress of a couple parts i sent him.
  8. The hubs will fit, but you need the spindle adapted to the s30 steering knuckle and strut to be able to use them.
  9. i wonder what sealing off the cowl and installing a smooth cowl panel would do to the dam of air building up on the base of the windshield.
  10. Was. I wasn't big enough to use the 240b effectively, so they put me on the m249.
  11. For plug wire protection, i have always used those little kevlar plug wire condoms. As for the plug issue, if you can get just the socket on it, you should be able to get an open end wrench on the end of the socket and use that to tighten it down. Atleast thats what I have had to do in the past.
  12. Reliable and easy to work on cars that also get great gas mileage and are cheap, are N/A z31 5 speeds. I got about 25mpg around town beating the piss out of it and it never missed a beat.......until the oil pump separated itself from the block.
  13. It still might happen. but I might actually build one from the block up. Or go with a S/C ls2/t56. but I'm also going to be building a custom frame and cage for it, using an FD rx7 front subframe and an unknown double wishbone rear subframe. possibly an entire driveline and suspension from a c6 vette.
  14. What is this "winter" you speak of? it's currently 90*+ and sunny here, hasent dropped below 40* since 2008.
  15. I did, makes it so if your on the ground or next to a building it doesnt damage the bullets and cause it to jam.
  16. They don't have enough ammo to scare me, they could continuously fire for less then a minute with the ammo shown. Also 240B's are more of a spray and pray/cover fire weapon then a accurate sniper riffle.
  17. The first N/A to Turbo swap on a human I have heard of! hope everything goes well, I got put on one of those machines once and saying it takes a little getting used to is an understatement.
  18. The only thing different long block wise is the pistons.
  19. that block is far from dead, just have them punch it .080 over and get some oversize cheapie cast pistons and run the e88 head your building and just cruise it until you get a different motor built.
  20. custom oil pan with built in diff, custom axles, r32 front spindles and hubs, r32 AWD trans and transfer case with z32 bellhousing, new rear driveshaft, on top of the custom frame and floor you would need to make to even get it to fit.
  21. As long as the fuel isn't get hot, you shouldn't have any problems.
  22. HOOV! box is on its way! sorry it took forever! being sick sucks harder than Bojo68 hahaha

  23. The only cars that are truly smog exempt are cars 66 and older.
  24. An internally regulated alternator usually goes directly to the battery. Atleast that's how I've wired them up.
