got my new/ish radiator today, double pass, howe radiator. This thing is HUGE! and still weighs like 1/3 of the small copper radiator I have in their now. Lets just say I'm going to be making use of the extra room once the Vg is in there. Imagine this, (anyone good with photoshop?) about 6 inches back at the same angle.

Get a z31T long nose 12mm R200, take the open diff out, swap the long nose R200 ring gear onto KAAZ diff, install it, shim it, then figure out the axles..

Do you need us to spell it out for you, or something? the tach is electric, so I would start at the wiring of the back of the tack and go from there. the wiring diagrams can be found all over the net.

If your looking at a new turbo with a price tag over $1k your looking at ones that either way to big for your car, or are marked up. Also with the JWT ecu's you need the cobra MAF, their wiring harness and a bunch of other stuff for it to work properly, ontop of that the tune will still not be very good. just get a nice rebuilt holset, buy everything to run megasquirt, buy everything else you need, tune it for 14psi, then tune it for 9psi and be happy.

supposed to run, but I got it for free and never heard it run. replaced the head gasket and it sat on my engine stand ever since. I put the timing set back together, you just need to put it back to tdc, put the timing cover on and insert the oil pump and dizzy shaft. I thought the best thing to do for road racing with a trailing/semi trailing arm design was to make it as stiff as possible to limit the negatives of the design?

does the z32 water pump flow more? I was looking at the one off my z32, next to a z31's and besides the length difference, they look the same.

you wanna guarantee the motor is clean? pull the oil pan and find out.

That much windshield angle on the z at that roof height, would look awesome on an s30.

I have an l28e long block, two e88 heads and a bunch of EFI stuff in thousand palms for free, if you want to pick it up.

You might as well pick up a used c&r for that price.

Nothing from a z32 will be direct bolt on, except for the battery and the taillight wiring harness, the diff needs custom mounts/axles and adapters to be used in the s30. the 5 lug front hubs don't match up to the s30 spindle as far as I know, the calipers need custom adapters/lines the trans will bolt on with the custom adapter..etc..etc If you have a grinder and a welder and are resourceful, you can make anything from the z32 fit..

Alright, I got a question for the cali smog guru's on this forum. I'm planning on tossing a vg30et from an 88 z31 turbo into my 73 240z. Now the 73 is exempt from smog testing, but not the smog laws themselves, but I don't wanna get popped by the CHP for having an engine swap. Which brings me to my question.. I want to have it BAR, CHP..etc certified with the pretty little reflective sticker and all, but Will i then have to smog every other year as the motor is from an 88, or will it remain as a 73?

I'm not going to rebuild this trans if it goes, I just want it to last as long as possible while abusing it.

Anyone have any advice for keeping a z31 auto trans together? I'm adding a bigger trans cooler, upping the line pressure and changing the fluid, just don't want it to come apart or give up the ghost. these z31 auto tranny's are like rocket science to me.

So I bought my z31 "donor" but it's just too clean at the moment to part out, so the swap is on hold until march 16'th after the auto-x.
