  1. ok, finally found a couple spots of serious rust on my car and i am wondering what i need to do, should i cut it out 1 inch around the perimeter and weld in new pieces or sand blast it clean, wire brush it with the grinder and re-seal it? help!

  3. watch out that stuff makes a big mess. (how much is that stuff a can?)
  4. I think you might have blew the oil/coolant seals in the turbo, when your wastegate stuck closed, i would check the exhaust and intake for oil/coolant and check the vacuum lines that go to your waste gate actuator.

  8. i would guess your metering block is clogged somewhere, did you rebuild the carb before you put it on? (also your jets aren't clogged are they?)
  9. I put it this way, if its going to break its going to break, when/if it does break, its just a matter of examining the broken part and improving on its design.

  11. gotta tune the carb, time it and replace every and all wiring and electrical connection, but it runs and drives!!!!! it started like this.... ended up like this. and drives like this around the block at 10 at night. and a random vid take by a friends camera of my bike on the track...
  12. Ladies and gentlemen, we have now gone back in time to the year 2002.
  13. its a custom g-nose 240z with custom flares, custom wheels, custom motor.....etc...etc this is a 240zg..
  14. you break a bolt flush with your block 2 days from the big race, drill a small hole into the bolt, then your eazy-out breaks flush with the block, then your $300 special order "industrial grade" diamond drill bit breaks, then you spend three weeks with a little drill and a box of drill bits to extract the something that should have only taken 5 minutes!!!
  15. i dont think rigidity play's in to this very well, as all the roof is, is a piece of convex sheet metal tack welded to the body and has little play in the actual stiffness of an 240z, because well there's not much strength to the roof of a 240z period, an i for the few of us who have been in a side impact in a s30, i think you would agree with my, that the roof just accordions. (also i dont give a flyin' #@$% about resale value, i bought it to drive it and drive it i shall, whether its into a fence, wall or the ground or another car.)

  18. why does everyone hate on the sunroof? these things are awesome in the summer heat and shouldnt leak/rust if it was installed correctly.

  20. you know that (19 year old) is about to be a pro rally driver right? ontop of that they closed the roads where they where filming.
