Oh Ok! Many people use the McKinney Motorsports mounts for a RB swap, which I hear are pretty good. I'm just trying to find a cheaper alternative to them cause $499 is on the expensive side for motor mounts for me, but if I have to buy them then I will.

$1800 for the headers alone ! How much did you pay for the engine ? Compression check would be a good thing to do !

Welcome ! Where in Cali are you ? The header on the engine looks pretty custom and expensive. Don't forget to upgrade your brakes and suspension too. I'm almost doing the same swap, I'm going to be using a RB20 or Rb25. The reason I'm considering using a RB20 is because I have a friend with a Rb20 that's putting out 450whp and I keep finding RB20's pretty cheap. I don't think you have too hard of time finding those parts here in Cali.

I have the 16x7 Rewinds but only have tires on the front and stock ride height so it doesn't look as nice as yours yet. Are you on coilovers or lowering springs ? What shocks are you running ? I really like the look of your Z and would like to attain the same. Maybe some spacer's in the rear. Great paint job too !

What size are the tires/wheels ? Any spacers ?

This guy in San Diego that I bought a dash cap from ! He has a 77' 280z with a rb20det thats pushing 450whp. He come's across stuff all the time, he has a z31 LSD and a RB20det that I'm thinking of buying. Apparently SD has a lot of JY with plenty of parts for 240z,260z & 280z. Plus a lot of speed shops tailored to datsuns.

Did you finish the rear brakes ? I found those same brackets for the same price you paid. Can you post pics with the caliper on if you have it done.

Thanks Man ! I think I'll pick up one of those chop saw's at Harbor Freight on payday, then I'll try it on the old strut's first to see how it goes. Do you have pics of yours ? What coilovers did you go with ?

Thanks for the info on sectioning, it doesn't sound that bad ! How much section do you remove ? I was planning on some Bad dog from rails. I wish I knew how to weldand no access to a chopsaw either, but I might be able to get someone to do it for me.

Its been 3 months since I purchased my 260z and I've been working on it off and on. My plans for a rb25det swap are still active but I cannot afford it right now so I've been preparing the other things like: Brakes, floor pans, pedals(it auto for now). I've been sanding what ever surface rust I can find and covering it. Here are some pics: I have a Synergy Bushing kit on order as well as a 15/16 MC rebuild kit from JC Whitney. I would like coilovers but I'm a little skeptical about sectioning the struts. I'm also on the hunt for Z31 turbo cv axles and a LSD carrier to swap into the R200 that I have sitting here. I have Z32/RB tranny and Starion seat waiting too.

This is what I'm planning on doing ! I gotta get my auto pedal box back from my dad(he's going LQ9/6.0 mated to a 700R4 in his 5sp 260z) so i can swap pedals !

My bad ! I didn't realize where I was at ! I saw "72 240z" on your sig.

Most of the bolts are accessible except for 2 on the top part of the pedal box. Well, if you have cracks that you want to fix on your dash then you might as well do it all at once cause you have to pull the dash to do that. Make sure you get the pedal box for a 240z and not a 260z/280z, the bolt pattern/booster is different. I know cause I bought a 240z box and just found out the hard way that it does not fit, but I think I'll be able to transfer the pedals to the auto pedal box.

That's cool ! I think I'm going to save up and run this kit:http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/pts/2324133720.html I've been hearing some not so good things with the 240sx calipers. This kit is fairly cheap and seems to be better than the 240sx caliper setup.

Do you have the seller's info ? What calipers can you use with them ?

I want those brackets too ! Can I get some ? How much ? What caliper are you going to run with them ? BTW, You'll probably be getting a lot of reply's like this for those brackets. Its hard sourcing the 79-83 Maxima brackets, MM takes for ever, and Silver mine is kinda expensive and you have to use a 2006 mustang gt caliper.
