  1. Some 82's also had P90A heads. Why do you need to know the year of the block?
  2. Congragulations. Very nice, the hood is a little much though IMO...
  3. LOL, all you dam gamers. I used to be addicted . Been much better lately. My GF hated it spent all my time on my Z and the Comp. I've been playing scince the original paddle pong lol. I also beta tested for a long time including the original MMOW UO. The original Ultima series rocked. I also used to run a BBS back in the day. Some of you might even have belonged to/ played games on it. It was Called Virtual Graphix. Ran under an old fire sys. till I went wildcat. Whatever happened to the good ol days.
  4. Check the oil for metal/contamination, if all looks good and compression is up to par. I would just install it and run as is. Once you've done it once or twice really shouldn't take more than an hour to R&R.
  5. I went with a 2 part epoxy. Amazingly durable but I did F#$%* some of it up by welding...
  6. I always liked them much better than Heli-coils. The only thing that makes heli-coils easier is , they can be trimed for a specific hole depth. Timesert's can only be used in a through hole or one of correct depth due to the self locking cold rolled bottoms. From the site- "What are the specific advantages of TIME-SERT over Helicoil? The TIME-SERT® inserts have a flange, which will give them a positive placement on installation for “accurate specific depths”. This ensures that the insert does not wind down into the threaded hole. TIME-SERTs are solid bushing and self locking. TIME-SERT being a solid bushing insert gives it added strength. TIME-SERTs have no messy prongs to break off down in the hole which can be a problem in deep holes. TIME-SERTs are self-locking having an actual locking feature which will prevent them coming out when a bolt is removed, again adding to the advantages over coil types. TIME-SERTs are timed internal to external, which give them a thin wall for tight applications but added strength over the coil styles. Thin wall, Solid bushing, Positive placement, Self locking, Steel bushing. Customers have asked if they may also use Loctite® adhesives for additional strength. Yes you may due to the solid wall design, there is no danger of loctite passing thru the threads of the insert and locking up the bolt as in coil types.
  7. Great idea. If built correctly there shouldn't be any durability concerns.
  8. Really it was about how loud is your turbo. I only added the coment about the BOV after someone said their turbo was making a louder whooshing sound after the removed the BOV. With lots of piping and intercooler the surge can lessen the life of your turbo. Was only trying to add some tech for people that might not know.
  9. Where do you see me saying the turbo goes backwards? lol. NP Also, the SURGE.. May not bend or break blades at modest boost levels but it will cause exsessive wear on the bearings/bushings.
  10. I guess it's not just me LOL.. Yeah, I hate these cheap POS's.
  11. You should have a blowoff/bypass valve. Otherwise the sound you hear is the air beaing forced backwards, when you close the throttle plate. Causing breaking on the turbine = Not good for the turbo..
  12. The only thing I don't like is the loss of pedal feel. Otherwise it would be great not to have hydralic lines and resirvoirs(SP?). Would really cleanup the engine compartment.
  13. High pressure direct injection is sweet. The fuel atomizes much better, giving better MPG and power at the same time.
  14. 1. Don't type all in caps. 2. Why did you change all those parts without diagnosing your problem. Hell, you could probably bought a MS for the price of those parts.
  15. Look here... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=109668
  16. Enjoy... http://mbjork.home.cern.ch/mbjork/gase/events/saunaab_test/saunaab_test.htm
  17. Put a BIG cap in parallel with the power to the MS...
  18. Very nice setup. Nice work by your friend on the custom headers. Is there gonna be any space for an air filter? Do you have a pic from the outside fenderwell?
  19. What size injectors are you running? . The computer can only run the injectors at a certain minimum pulse width, after that they don't work correctly.
