  1. You can always install one of those steering wheel knobs like this one: With pool ball grip!
  2. I think i'm going to try this. I'll report back for results.
  3. If you dont have any luck with the J-yards or Nissan you might want to ask that guy with the red race 240z. He's using a standalone system so i'm pretty sure he's not using all four o2's.
  4. I'm sure the wiring is more of a PITA than it looks but, your doing a fantastic job of keeping it clean. Great job dude! I'm glad I don't have to wire in half as much as you have. Do you have any pics of your oil filter relocator? I think that's a good idea. what's up with Nissan and the small oil filter thing anyway? Also, what connectors were you looking for, S30 or 350Z? I have a buch of both lying around but, if you take some pics I might be a able to help you out.
  5. I got almost everything mounted with the car on the ground...only to be removed right after for paint. Everthing feels good in the driver seat. The shifter is closer within reach and the throws are short and crisp, very go-cart-ish I might ad. At first I wasn't too happy about adding the electronic gas pedal but, it's travel is fairly long (which is great for modulation) and the spring tension feels good so maybe its not so bad. I got everything to clear under the hood but, I forgot about the STB which might not let me make a front mounted TB. So all I have left is paint, fuel plumbing, manifold, and wiring and this thing should be running again!
  6. Nice! So that makes 4 people on hybridZ with up and coming 350Z/240Z swaps.
  7. A picture would help but, you might not have to change your studs if you can use mag style lugnuts. There are plenty of choices for wheel studs if you need to replace them : ARP, RX-7, quest, Nismo, etc...
  8. What kind of camera are you using? those are some bitchen photos!
  9. That would be great! Surley, I need to get schooled on this topic.
  10. I've been browsing around and all the diffusers that claim to be functional are super low to the ground. Like this one for a C6 Vette With the S30's relitively high rear end this is going to be hard to achieve without making a super huge ricey looking diffuser. I think Jons right looking into the whole Nascar thing.
  11. The S30 roll pan looks like it catches a good bit of air under the car. I was thinking of cutting out this parachute to help reduce the drag. My car is far from show quality so I don't have such a problem doing so. I was thinking of cutting it out something like this: My roll pan is out of shape... and I don't think it looks too bad.... Anyone think this will actually work?
  12. Your swap is looking great. Keep it up!
  13. As of rignt now that's just bling that I can't afford. I need to get this thing going so I can get some seat time on the track. It's been a while...
  14. I'm still going to try and do what I can without modifying the manifold too much but this is sort of what I have in mind. Use the stock flange and create the upper half with the TB mounted in the front:
  15. Agreed. Nothing like the fresh smell of DEATH.
  16. I did the torch and putty knife method. It worked but it was messy, stunk, and my throat hurt after. I would go cold if I were you.
  17. Mikedc528- Thanks for the suggestion I'll have to look into it but, i'd hate to buy it and find out it doesnt clear. Austin - If the intake cleared everything I would have left it just like that. Heres the problem: The largest pipe I can squeeze between the reinforcing bar and the engine is 2'' od Also, I wasnt able to squeeze the throttle body in there and bolt it in all the way. I've considerd moving the bars but, they are on an important area on the cowl so that has to be like my last resort. So that leaves me with mountng the TB up front and modding the manifold, the back and modding the cowl and manifold, or up and modding the hood (unlikely)
