  1. Why not try the OBX 240sx R200 diff. There suppose to be strong. For $395 shipped they are worth a shot. Justin
  2. I'm purchasing a ThermalArc Arcmaster 185 TIG welder this week. I may be willing to weld a couple of these up. I wont set a price on one until I've finished one for my personal car. Justin
  3. Well, I'm breaking down and buying a ThermalArc ArcMaster 185 from Quimby Welding Supply down in Portland. They were very nice about price matching the best price I could find on the internet. I really wanted to buy the welder locally so that if I had any issues, I could take it in for warranty. Justin
  4. Thanks for the bump, I will call the machinist for an update. Regards, Justin
  5. What brakes are you running under these wheels? Will Toyota 4X4 brakes clear? Justin
  6. Thats 100 wheels. I'd be game for a set of 17X10's but I havea hard time believing that 25 people will agree on that size. Justin
  7. Hi Justin, For 5 sets or more, we can do special custom bolt pattern and offset. For custom dimension or width we need 25 sets or more. Kim
  8. You could change out the exhaust housing to a larger A/R. Otherwise just get used to downshifting when you are going full throttle. Its not too bad once your used to it. A electronic boost controller could be used to bring in boost slower, but why not just get a larger turbo if you want that.
  9. He shows them mounted in this thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=123538
  10. I dumpster dive with the senior mechanical engineering at my work. He makes are from what he finds. I haven't had too many exceptional finds. I am planning on doing dual exhaust out the side of my 280z with some harley mufflers I got from the local dealerships scrap bin Here is the "found" art the senior engineer does in his spare time: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7620029@N04/ Justin
  11. Honestly I will go either way. I'd like a 17X10 or a 15X10. The new hoosier radial is the perfect tire for a road racing 240z. 275/35-15. I'd love to run them, but its hard to find a wheel that will clear wilwood 12.2" brakes. The 15" Rota Rb's do clear, hence my interest. I e-mailed Kim about it and am waiting on the response. Justin
  12. I'd be very interested in a set of 15X10 rotas RB's with +4 offset. This would be perfect for the Hoosier 275/35-15. Would anyone else be interested? The 15" RB's clear 12.2" wilwood brakes, so I think it would make a nice affordable track wheel. Justin
  13. Heres the car I was thinking of. Turns out it doesn't have YZ flares on it. Never the less I'm thinking YZ rear flares with factory front fenders would look killer. Justin
  14. Does anyone have a picture of a car with YZ rear flares and stock front fenders? I'm really considering doing the YZ rear fenders, but I dont want to do the YZ front fenders. I want to see what it would look like with big fenders in the back and factory fenders up front. There was a red car with YZ's in the rear and a Gnose up front for sale a while back. I searched and couldn't locate it. I really like the look of that car. Any pictures would be great. Regards, Justin
  15. Z-Gad, Have you had any issues with your z31 axels axially deforming? You just foot brake your setup with the Th400 correct? I wonder what a trans brake and a stiff shifting RMVB would do to the rear end. Justin
  16. Its my daily driver and I live in oregon. I'm a outdoors person so I'm going to make something work for my mountain bike. I have some old thule racks I'm going to try. Seems that most bike racks that mount to rain gutters will work. Justin
  17. I like it, but how much is it going to weigh? Justin
  18. Does anyone have a recommendation for a bike rack for my 77 280z? My 280z is my daily driver right now and I want to take some trips this summer with it. Does anyone have any experience putting a bike rack on a s30? Thanks for any help! Regards, Justin
  19. Heres a picture of a MR2 power steering pump mounted in the back of an audi. This might be a good option for you. This guy is running it off of a 75amp relay.
  20. why did you go with a 225/50-15 on a 10" wide wheel? Justin
  21. Here is the problem area you will find with the later S30 chassis that came equipted with catalytic converters. They have a "hump" in the transmission tunnel to allow for more clearance in this area. This just gets in the way when mounting most modern seats. Jusitn
  22. I do realize that the label says +4 offset. I was just logically trying to figure out why these wouldn't fit better. According to Rota's inventory, they currently have 15X8 (4X4.5) in +4 and +12 offset. You can see the current inventory here: http://www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY.htm It looks like they finally have the 16X8" RB's in stock ( 4X4.5 & +4 offset) Justin
  23. Are you sure you didn't get +12 offset 15X8 wheels? That would make sense since the back spacing looks closer to 5". http://www.rotawheels.com/rb.php Justin
  24. Aren't those 15X8" +4 offset? That should equal 4.65" back spacing.
