  1. I think thats a pretty average ebay price for the stroker crank.
  2. Not into the V-twins eh? My FZ has a more upright seating position than the SV which is why I ended up chosing it. I have had a few close calls, mainly from people turning left infront of me. A bike with locked up brakes is no fun at all. I have logged just over 12,500 miles on mine without going down, and I gear up every time. Try to find a local forum for bikes. If your a normal size (5'9-6'1) you should be able to find lightly used leathers and boots for cheap. I got my two piece this way, and my boots I found on CL for 1/4 the price of new. Make sure to try as many gloves and helmets as possible to find the one that fits you best. A shoei vs arai vs HJC or whatever brands will fit differently.
  3. I like my FZ6 too (an 05) SV650s 2003 + is a good one too (EFI) Assuming youve got a decent head on your shoulders, any 600 can be a good starter bike. Make sure you budget for some quality gear and your MSF course and youll be good to go!
  4. Ive got an 81 turbo motor for my car. Just curious if I can use the 81 CAS to run a coil for each plug? Or am I stuck using the dizzy? Im still learning all this, and I searched and didnt see anything specific to this quesiton. Thanks guys! Kenny
  5. nevermind, I got beat to the answer! (on the crooked tach)
  6. yeah, you could get the old 5 series (early to mid 80's) with a turbo diesel in the US. Of course that has nothing to do with modern BMW diesel motors.
  7. I want to do that swap into a 620 king cab. Just another dream though
  8. welcome, there are a few of us with green Z's on here. I didnt like mine at first but the color has grown on me alot. Post up some pics if youve got them!
  9. thats pretty neat, I hadnt seen that one before. My dad is currently looking for a featherlite dual axle, but im going to show him that
  10. depends if you are leg tall, or torso tall. Im 6'5 myself, with a 36" inseam. Im cramped with stock seats, but not terribly. I couldnt fit with a helmet on, thats for sure. Ive got a OMP seat to fit this winter, hoping to gain another inch or so of headroom.
  11. I got my AZcar coilovers last week, and half of my order from ross. Hoping the rest will show up this week. I was hoping for the rest of the week off to work on the car, but we got busy at work.... Ill get to work on it next weekend anyways Oh, plus I got a rusted out ZXT for parts at the beginning of the month.
  12. I like dual axle setups. Usually flat bed, so you can haul other things if need be (furniture, dirt, wood, whatever) as many tie down points as you can get. Also, for those unforseen time when you may not be able to get the car up there, a winch is rad. I also like to have trailers with a bit lower ride height, it makes it easier to load and unload a low Z. HTH Kenny
  13. Bahahaha, im bringing this back again. I kinda remember looking through the thread when it was active and remember someone mentioning 280zx tails on an S30. well this popped up on craigslist. Anyways he is only selling the louvers, but I thought it would be a good addition to this thread.
  14. everything has a forum!! The beam patter will be more focused, however that wont help the crap 12000k light get any brighter.
  15. they still wont be any brighter, even in an OEM projector
  16. they wont get any brighter. You should have got something in the 4500k range.
  17. There was a thread on this from about a year ago. youve got a good list started there.
  18. 1" is normal thickness. Any larger and you start to mess with the geometry of the linkage. Port your manifold to be the same size as the throttle body opening.
