  1. Those wheels are beautiful. I am having a hell of a time finding them though. It looks like they have been discontinued by Axis.
  2. Posted to TheCarLounge. Car Lounge Thread
  3. I have been contemplating an M50 swap for my DD '91 318is. You should keep us up to date on this project. I would love to follow your progress.
  4. I have seen this video at least 20 times and I am blown away every time.
  5. I've been using that app with every one of my cars, how does it compare for the power calculation?
  6. I play Cod4 online all the time (xbox 360)
  7. Not so much CoD5 but definitely Modern Warfare!!!!
  8. "It's difficult to do this without touching the work of the divine potter."
  9. I'm surprised at how good that looks. I don't think it looks "blingy" at all, get some good pics with the other side too!
  10. Do the kick panels get kicked at all. Seems like they stick out in the foot well a bit. Wouldn't care too much about the passenger side but I like my legroom.
  11. I'm not positive about this but I think that the San Jose one moved to Santa Cruz and then eventually closed. The place that was in Santa Cruz is gone for sure. It used to be at the end of Pacific Avenue. The guy let me take one of the cars for a free spin around the block when I went in to chat with him once. I think I also bought a center console from him for like $20. Unfortunately that place has been gone for a couple of years now.
  12. This thread is awesome! It has everything lol...
  13. Hello all, I have a 280zx turbo that I can't seem to sell on CL and I was thinking I might have better luck on eBay. Has anyone here sold or bought a car on eBay? Is it worth the trouble to go through that whole process? I don't know what else to do at this point. I really need to sell this car and I just can't drum up enough interest in it. Here is the thread link and the newest listing. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=143620 http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/cto/1030011816.html
  14. I heard that the base model (2.0T) will be starting in the 20k range. If so that seems like a great price on what could be a great car. Cars don't need 300hp to be fun. I have been driving around a 318is it is no power house but it is a blast to drive. Many people in the z community have been saying that the market was clamoring for a small light RWD coupe with a 4 cylinder turbo motor in the 20k range. Seems like this car could definitely lose a few pounds though, weighs in at around 3500lbs. I think that this car kind of parallels the 240z introduction quite well. At the time of the 240z intro many people still only recognized Datsun as a cheap economy brand. Seems like this is almost an identical situation. Debadge that black one above and drive it around, no one will guess it is a Hyundai. I can easily see myself picking one of these up second hand in a couple of years.
  15. The dry ice method worked great for me but I still had to hit the floor with considerable force. I tried using chisels and scrapers but the best method for me was to use dry ice and then hit the floor with a large mallet. It would flex the floor just enough for the tar to pop up. Probably took about 30 minutes with the dry ice. It was kinda fun too!
  16. I am a big fan of Forza 2, but what originally got me into cars was this old gem (Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed the best racer ever!!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0urVlCyppU
  17. I have always been a big fan of the Beretta 92, it is only a 9mm but I love the way it fits in my hand. Very comfortable and fun to shoot. I never really liked the Glock but I think that is just personal preference, the square shape of the handle would start to hurt after a while. It just doesn't fit my hand as well as the Beretta does. I have a bunch of friends who just love the Glock and find it to be a comfortable gun, I think it just comes down to personal preference. I only shot one Sig and I dont remember what gun it was but again I didnt like the fit as much as the Beretta. Another one you could look at is a springfield 1911, those can be had for incredibly cheap and they are very well built guns. The handle is a little narrow for my hands but I have seen some grips that would modify it perfectly and make it very comfortable. I think it all comes down to personal preference, enjoy the process of trying out a bunch of different guns. Get experience with the variations in grip sizing and modifications that can be made to the gun. The process of playing with what is out there is half the fun. Then once you actually buy one you will be confident that it is exactly what you want.
  18. That is flippen sweet! C60 is such a cool molecule, it would be really interesting if they could come up with a economically feasible way of depositing this "film". Like they said in the article, it seems like this could have nearly endless applications.
  19. I am a reliability engineer working at a large CMOS image sensor company. I break stuff and then make someone else fix it.
  20. Where is that? The first part looked really familiar and then I got lost.
  21. That paint looks amazing! Always thought that the zx looked good in a dark blue. Those numbers are impressive for that level of boost. I would love it if I could achieve 300whp at 15psi. What is the boost threshold like? When do you reach full boost?
