lots o scotts i am gonna try to put a small but effective lip on my wing to see if it'll help and also i am not too far from toronto so some time we'll have to hook up.How far are you from sarnia?I can get to sarnia in about an hour or two depending on traffic and the boarder guys .Another thing is maybe making a vent that could channel air like down the sides of the hatch and see if that works.Kinda like a small scoop to make the air go down there instead.Just another thought.

hey guys i too have the same prob but not really a suprise huh I found that the tail light seals on my car where gone and then when i looked closer i found that my car had been hit in the drivers side and they replaced the quarter but failed to fix it right so i had huge holes in the side under the back by the exhaust tip.I sealed them all up and the smell was not even as close to as strong as it was but it was still there.I also noticed that when i had my mas kit not on my car i didn't have this prob so the msa kit kinda makes the prob worse.But it looks sooo nice I was thinking i have a rear spoiler on my car that i had to modify to fit, Now what if i put a small lip in the back side of the spoiler forcing air down behind the car?You know a school bus has the same probs. Have you ever seen the dust behind a school bus while it goes down a dirt road?It sworls and just kinda lingers there making the windows in the back very dirty quick.They solved this prob by putting that wing on that directs air down the back.Just thinking maybe for those people who have rear spoilers they could mod theirs to direct air down just enuf to make the exhaust go down and away.well am i way off or what?

james is right i run scottie's dp then i got 3" piping and it works great i have a magna flow zero backpressure muffler and it sounds and looks great i love it.The 3" from 2.5" on mine made a big difference in my car.The whole exhaust from the dp back cost me 200 bucks and they did a great job.Thanks for the info on the haltech too i am definately gonna go with one now.

i have a 65mm tb on mine and i like it.It came from a mercades tony got it for me and all i did was take it apart and clean it up and put it back together backwards so it would open from the opposite side so i could use the stock linkage.I had to make it bigger inside and from what i did i'd have to say that 70mm might be too big but i dunno for sure anyone have a 70 in the stock location?Hey steve you know the more i think of it the intake idea sounds like a good idea.I have pics at this link of my tb, www.zdriver.com/rides/showpic.php?name=scottyMizt_1022939309.jpg www.zdriver.com/rides/showpic.php?name=scottyMizt_1022939105.jpg there is a big diff between the 50 and 65 in the last pic you can see the diff.

everything i did to my z so far has been nice for the ride.I had the seats redone and i cut the springs for a nicer ride.The thing i think everyone forgot was good hatch seals and tail lite seals i am so glad i fixed mine i couldn't handle the exhaust coming in is was bad. -
i don't think scottie ever made pipes for the zxt he made them for the z with the turbo swap.I have to say you won't be disappointed i love mine that scottie sold me a long time ago.PLus i get alot of looks cuz he did such a good job on it.The one good thing about MI is no smog or emission tests i have to pass so i have scottie's 2.5" dp and then it goes right to 3" exhaust to my zero back pressure magnaflow muffler and man i love the sound If you make some dp's cody you could sell alot of them i know a few people who are interested too and good luck.

hey warren how does the t bird ic work so far?I used the plastic volvo ic and it worked great and i ran 18psi all the time.In my opinion the volvo ics are good ic's for the buck and for the stock turbo ic also.I have a t bird ic so let me know how it works

i have a t3/t4e as you can see from my sig and all i did was grind some of the exhaust manifold out so the compressor would clear and it works good.I'm gonna take a bit more out so i can slip somemore heat shielding in there and if it cracks oh well darn i'll just have to get a custom header

oh ya i found a guy selling t4 and t3 bearings for 20 bucks a set so i'm just gonna replace them cuz everything else is fine.Also let me know how your car works after the turbo repair

it still works fine just had a whine to it in the car( no not turbo whistle ) I had the ic piping blow off too much and it kinda heat soaked the turbo making it not last as long.It still worked great up til the day i pulled the engine but it seemed to wear out quick that's why i was asking.I'm gonna check mine to see what kind of bearing it has inside and everything else, I don't even know the trim and everything else.I just know the exhaust a/r and the turbine housing a/r.Hey i am getting timz's ic tho and a haltech engine management system The car should be haulin a$$ this year(i hope)

hmmmm you know that could be my problem z gad hey does yous have a water cooled section in it?I have to pull my turbo apart and see what i got cuz my bearings are bad too but i did have the car stall alot when it was hot.The ic pipe blew off alot and it killed the engine letting the poor turbo get hot without any lube or water

hey cody my girl has a grand am and it sucks the thing has so many stupid problems i'm sick of working on it.I hate auto trannies they suck that's why all except for one of my cars and truck have manuals.The car tat i have that has an auto is a 94 sunbird and i haven't had any probs with it except for a water pump and it has over 160k on it.The 3.1 and 2.8 multi port motors last along time if you could find a manual grand am and take out the guts and make it a manual and then no more probs the stuff should just swap in.

i'm a CE cobbling engineer Just kidding i'm a radio tech i guess you could call me an engineer.I work on and install two way radios, antennas on towers for the twoway radios and for computer high speed wireless internet.I also do pro audio stuff.

I still have a new stock fuel pump in my 76z and it's fine.I am gonna get a bigger one this year but i ran 18 psi on the stock fuel pump and 370cc injectors.I had no probs with running lean and i actually ran rich I plan to get a tec 3 or somethinglike that how much did you pay for yours?

Nice bike mike, it's nice to see another older bike owner on here.I upgraded my rotors and calipers from two piston to four and it stops great.As for the honda that thing is crazy

the pics where kinda dark cuz of the lighting in the garage.It's my father in law's garage he has everything.It is an 88 750r ninja the pipes are cobra f1's they are new and it sounds sweet.It runs good but needs some carb work so my brother in law is gonna help me jet it and tune it.Mike is the pic on your sig your bike?If so it looks nice my friend has a zx6r and his is quick i know not as quick as yours but it's more than enuf for me.I have zx6r wheels breaks and rotors on this thing had to do some fabricating but it worked out great.The stock calipers are only 2 piston and the 6r ones are 4 piston.The wheels and breaks are from a 96 zx6r.The front fender is too i had to make the stuff fit but ti makes the bike.There is one on ebay an 89 750r and mine looks tons better.I have to put the blinkers on and the stickers but he did a great job on the paint.

I agree james the starion ic sucks i hated the one i had.The volvo one was much better for the stock turbo and i can't remember the year but there are alot on ebay for cheap.I didn't pay much at all on mine to get it into the 12's but then i did all the work myself.

well i'd have to say that you can go higher than 14psi cuz i did i ran 18psi for over six months with no probs and i had the stock fuel pump too.All i did was use a volvo ic the big plastic one and get 370cc injectors from a merkur xr4ti and my car hit 12's with the rest stock.
