  1. One time, when I was younger and less wise in the ways of the world than I am today, I went to see a laser show with some friends. They were drinking, and i didn't (and still don't) drink, so me and this guy's girlfriend went to go get milkshakes on the way. When we got there, the guy (drunk) decided to climb on my hood when I was trying to park. So I thought it seemed like a good idea to put on the ebrake (it was a civic hatchback) and blaze up the front tires to scare him a little bit. Well, to make a long story a little longer, he bounced off my windshield and flew into the grass, I had to use the wipers to get the blood off the windshield, his girlfriend is freaking out, I'm freaking out, and he jumps up looking like he just lost the UFC title match thinking it was the funniest thing that had ever happened. Good thing he was drunk...I ended up dating his girlfriend after they broke up a few weeks later, so that ended well too.
  2. If the rest of the crowd is turbocharged, I rather suspect you would be following behind them...way behind...
  3. Yeah but that HKS turbo plenum is way sexier, so long as there is at least one turbo involved...
  4. A few years back I was with some friends at the local parking spot, and some clown in a monte carlo was doing burnouts and tearing @ss up and down the lanes of cars, and this guy just busted him with a full 40oz fountain drink through his open window as he drove by. It was awesome. the guy took off and didn't come back, but that is my dream weapon of choice every time someone is talking in the movies (or text messaging/talking on the cell-those screens are so distracting in the dark)...it would hurt to get hit by it, and it would leave you wet/sticky from the soda inside...priceless...
  5. I think the camo BRE livery would be super different. Bre clones have been done, but not like that. So are you running a g-nose, or no? I just saw a fiberglass one on ebay that was like $300 the other day...I still think snow camo flames on flat black would be dope, especially on a g-nose car because it give you the extra area to paint the flames. Plus, flat black is cheap, requires less coats to cover your old color, and is available from most any brand. *edit* I wasn't trying to discount either your drawing, or the idea of the tiger paint, just that I've seen it attempted, and it's VERY hard to make it look right. The idea is sound, but the possibility for disaster is very real.
  6. Max Sterling, at your service...(kind of a b-side character, i know, but he was the micronian super ace and my first name is also max...) Actually, in 00-01, they were still using ca18de's and sr20de's if I'm not mistaken. It wasn't until the new se-r came out that the qr25de was available. I don't actually work at a nissan parts department, I work in the saturn parts department, but we kind of help each other out with that type of stuff. I just called the local nissan dealer and asked them to reverse engineer it. I doubt there is a whole lot of difference in the two harnesses, but you can't ever be sure...
  7. If you wanted to take it to the next level, you could totally get some uniroyal tiger paw tires...Na...those tires suck anyway. I don't know how I feel about that yet. I've seen a lot of ideas that literally looked good on paper (heck, i've even had a few) and don't translate too well into live action (see: Superman I-IV, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I-III, Super Mario Bros., the movie) so I'm trying to think of something that would take it out of the realm of hokey paint job, and legitamize it a little bit. Race cars seem to be able to get away with anything, so possibly putting a number field on the side, and doing the whole parts list down the fender would help. I always wanted to paint a car like a police car, and put panty inspector on the badge part of the door, but now that I'm married, I doubt that would fly too far...
  8. I'm going to have to say the lightening holes I drilled in the front of my power bulge. Other than that, my car is pretty generic...(I need to put a picture without the overspray up here one of these days..)
  9. For some reason photobucket, and pictures hosted at photobucket are blocked from my computer at work, so I can't actually see your pic until I get home. I'm very curious about these tiger stripes, because I've never seen a tiger paint job come off very well. There was a first gen crx around here for awhile that was white with black stripes, came off more like a zebra, and it didn't really look too cool IMO...I'm kind of partial to the camo flames at this point. I've never heard of anyone doing something like that, and it wouldn't be that hard to do. That would look so hard on a flat black car...
  10. Why don't you just hide them in the carb plenum? You could get something like this:
  11. that depends, does it have pistons? If it does, it just became slightly less hard...
  12. A rotary scion xb would be soooooooooooooo hard!
  13. I would totally keep the face on the fenders, and not wrap it around the front. At least not on the hood, anyway. The teeth aren't going to look right at all on the hood, but I don't mind them on the spook so much. Plus your headlight buckets aren't glassed over yet, are they? So you wouldn't be able to use that surface to do the graphic.
  14. That guy is representing hard on those wire spokes...talk about VIP tuning!
  15. Whoah-ho, mr. fancy pants...check you out with the home-made ignition control. Fair enough. That sounds like a pretty sweet project, is it going to do fuel as well? I guess not if you've got the carbs. I'm still trying to build my wiring harness to install my megasquirt so I can ditch these lame-o su's.
  16. Gotta represent for the the dirty souf in the war of northern aggression (I don't really know why I still see rebel flags flying here in florida...even if you aren't a racist and just have "southern pride", wouldn't you want to steer clear of such a controversial symbol?) Don't you guys still have that on your state flag anyway? I never identified with slavery, but I always thought that the confederates had such colorful names for their generals...Stonewall Jackson was my favorite for some reason, his beard was dope...Plus the oldest instance of red-neckery that I've been able to trace in this country goes back to the south's use of a pedal powered, candle lit submarine that went down with all hands when a wave came over the top into the hatch WHILE STILL AT THE DOCK. TWICE. Then after the third try, they managed to paddle out to the blockading northern ship, with a bomb strapped to a pole extended out front, and rammed the ship, then went down with all hands again when they opened the hatch to see where they were. Then entire southern united states it seems is genetically pre-disposed to win darwin awards (www.darwinawards.com) and I can say that because I'm a native floridian, born and raised...I can just see how the idea for that submarine came into being: "hey cletus, you know that boat out there in the harbor? I got me an Idea..."
  17. Sorry buddy, didn't mean to interrupt. I'm going to go check and see if I've got an ignition module in my parts closet...If I do I'll slide it to you this weekend. Do you know if it's the same for a 78? maybe not...
  18. Don't hate...I was all: "Nice rising sun idea, think I'll take it!" But now that I'm done with it, I suppose you can have it back.
  19. You can't just mask it off without posting a concept drawing dude! Order of Operations, man, Order of Operations!
  20. A drawing forum, you mean? I figured it was the last place Chewie asked me about it...I would have posted them in your s30 drawing thread, but figured I'd jacked it enough.
  21. Amen brother! I was planning to do that to my last green z, but never got around to it. I say go for it, but do all the radiator stuff black so it doesn't stand out as much. I'm dying to see this machine gun exhaust tip. By the way, there are some new camo designs over on the camo zzzap! thread. Also wal-mart carries a "flat olive" krylon paint that is the same price as the regular stuff.
  22. This one is supposed to be like the movie Tron. You could use some reflective red tape (or do the whole thing in blue if you aren't on the side of the mcp) to make the circuit lines..
