  1. Check out the gills by the battery tray area, and the louvers near the cowl. They weren't kidding when they said it has some aero mods. And yet it doesn't have sideskirts...
  2. Dorifto! (you have to make the sound effects, or it's no fun) Just trying to help the business Terry! Letting people know all the fun they could be having with a little imagination, and a TON of free time... Here's another one:
  3. Are you still in Germany? I'm not looking for one all that hard, I was on a kick of trying to find one for awhile, but then I gave up.
  4. Wasn't Olie05 talking about doing something like that too at one point?
  5. You can never be too careful, right?
  6. The tubes on the su manifold are visibly larger than the efi runners. I think the ultimate way to do it is like the Wangan tripple carb turbo, but with the fuel injection throttle bodies on it; but we started this topic as a way to save a little money unless I missed the point somewhere.
  7. I see this car all the time near my work, and I wish this guy would let go of it. I haven't talked to him personally, but the car has a near legendary status around here at all the car related businesses. It's parked behind a local pizza place, and I guess it's somebody that works there. Everybody just knows that the guy won't give it up for nothing, but nobody actually knows who has talked to the owner. Eleanor, just slowly rusting away...If she was mine, I'd move those mirrors to the fenders, and paint it Grabber Blue. Gotta love those Dunlop GT Qualifiers! I also see this car every day on my way to work, and I get a good laugh every time. It just never gets old. I tell you, WTF?!? is everywhere, if you look hard enough: Must be one of those new "widebody" beercans they're talking about now...
  8. You know what's hard to find? Radio controlled S30's. Surprising really, but I think it's because they wouldn't fit over the guts of a radio controlled car chassis very easily. I've seen the bodies on ebay, but they are white instead of clear, which leads me to believe they are being done in somebody's garage or something.
  9. Looks like somebody was reading our S30 drawing thread...It sounded supercharged towards the end of the run, you could hear a whistle, but it didn't really sound turbo. I like the exhaust blowing out from the rear tire there.
  10. A friend of mine uses a webcam adapted to mount to the windshield that records into his laptop. They built a triangle-ish shaped mount for the windshield out of cardboard, and they mounted a small camera into that. It seems to work pretty well, but it requires a laptop and webcam, surprisingly enough. So if cost is an issue, and you don't already have those things, I guess it would have to be something else...
  11. Alright OTM, I'll play your game: here's my turbo manifold sketch, to no particular scale (but it does look pretty cool) It's a thumbnail, so click it to make it bigger if you want to check it out. I'll do some measurements tomorrow of my t-4 and the head to strut mount clearance to maybe put some scale on it. *edit* I just measured from the exhaust flange to the strut tower, and it was just over 13", something like 13.5". It's hard to get an exact measurement because all my manifolding is in place, but it seems like a reasonable amount of space to work with. I'll measure my turbo when I get home. It seems like there is more space there than I first thought. This is the engine bay I'll be working with:
  12. It's different from carbs because it has a fuel injector in it, so it's like an electronic carb. All the metering happens like with fuel injection, it just doesn't have one injector per cylinder.
  13. Olderthanme has some louvers for the side windows he might be willing to part with.
  14. As far as that goes, MSD makes a drill bit for drilling injector mounting bosses, but I'm pretty sure it's for o-ring style injectors. I know OTM can weld, so you could always splice the two manifolds together (fuel injection ends with su tubes).
  15. All 77's are going to be non-turbo, that wasn't an option until 81 I believe. Automatic, or manual? How does the distributor cap and rotor look? Generally speaking, whenever you buy a used car, you should always do tune up stuff and oil change, that way you KNOW what you are starting with, instead of what you are TOLD you are starting with. You might have some junk in your fuel filter if it was run down to the bottom of the tank, so you could start by doing a fuel filter. Have you checked the spark? I assume you've got fuel since it was squirting everywhere. Are there any air leaks between the MAF and the throttle body? That factory service manual sounds like a good investment...
  16. It's pretty cool as far as trucks go, but this thread was about these miniature cars that Corzette found in Japan...none of which were the B110 truck. There is a list of which ones are available in post number 1 of this thread though.
  17. I like the new color, it should look good shiny.
  18. reminds me of the camo zzzap!: Looks good from far, but far from good when viewed at close range...
  19. Yeah, 1200's are great! My personal taste leans toward coupes and sedans, but I think the 1200 and 2000 roadsters are tough looking cars for sure.
  20. don't hate, you know you want one. You could get like a mini paint roller and hook it up to match the OTM-mobile. Just some stuff you can't tell from the pics: the 2kgt comes with a sticker sheet of different things you can put on the license plate area, and the Z hood opens up (has a little sticker of an engine with down draught carbs in there), and niether the crown police car nor the hakosuka have any novelty features, besides being bad-ass.
  21. I pulled up the price list from twm and it said they were 280 or whatever, maybe I had the jobber price list. $1500 was what I was expecting it to cost, but I'm sure that came with fuel rails and injectors and linkages and whatnot. They also make weber replacements for doing the tripple double throttle bodies.
  22. Just got mine, thanks Terry! Everybody stay tuned: Son of Camo ZZZap! will be rearing it's majestic (yet cutely miniaturized) head shortly!
  23. What the heck is that adjustable chain tensioner gimmick? I've never seen one of those. Is it a manual tensioner to compensate for a drastically shaved head or something? That's about all I could think of for what it might be.
