  1. Did somebody say RB30 powered roadmaster? That's funny, I really thought I heard somebody say RB30 powered roadmaster...Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until 4 Fast 4 Furious to see that swap in action...
  2. Derp! "ya hate to see that happen, cotton."
  3. I wouldn't say those videos are stupid...let's get a 15psi burnout video!
  4. What's the story with your z now, is it turbo, or v-8? I know you were having trouble with the turbo, but I don't recall hearing the outcome... This is a super rough drawing, but see it more as a concept and not a finished product:
  5. Cozy, you're such a bad influence! Corrupting a minor like that, honestly...
  6. Let me ask you this: what do you want your tattoo to say? I don't mean like what text do you want to have on it, I mean what meaning do you want it to have? Just about the z, or something more than that?
  7. I'm not too great with photoshop yet, but put up a picture of the lip in question and I'll see what I can come up with.
  8. I've noticed them sitting forward as well. Those aren't stock wheels, are they? Your tire size may exaggerate the look a little bit...
  9. PLEASE don't get a tribal! If I were a tattoo artist, I'd refuse to do those on principle. What tribe do you belong to, dude? The only part of that tribal that would have any meaning to you would be the z part, and all the rest would just be filler. You'd be better off getting a tattoo of the table of contents from your z owners manual or something. Maybe the oil change instructions...yeah, that would be a dope tattoo!
  10. What's so bad about having a pony tail? I had one once, and I lived to tell the tale. Are the fashion police that bad in louisiana?
  11. tarmac rally style-Get some: How's that for rainbow paint schemes? OTM, three turbos should equal three pipes, if you ask me. Davyz, have you got any drawings to throw into the mix?
  12. When I first bought my car, I rescued it from a field, and it had this little guy living inside. I can't believe I forgot I had this pic:
  13. What are you doing for fuel management? The throttle body will just bolt on, but if you want it to work better you have to port match the manifold to the new diameter. You can mix and match the throttle linkage parts to get your original z linkage to work.
  14. The coloring is a little weak, I admit, but have you guys ever SEEN a group B car? Those pics are from: http://www.stormloader.com/groupb. Nice history of the class there. I was actually looking more at the Lancia Stratos which predates group B by a few years, but is still hard as hell:
  15. "Shhh...Be vewy vewy quiet...I'm hunting twolls..."
  16. No matter how attatched I am to designs I do for people, I always recommend they ask their tattoo artist to use it as a starting point rather than insist it be that way. Those guys do it every day, so they know what works and what doesn't. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if I were to post something for you, and when you got it it wasn't exactly the same. Wingnutt's got some good advice there I think.
  17. This I gotta see...I'll dig up my group b drawing...let me see where I put it...
  18. It could be dust on the chip, most digital cameras have a self cleaning mode that shakes the imaging chip to clear them of dust, a lot of them do it on start-up. It really looks like dust to me, and in the second picture you posted, it looks like a fingerprint may be on the lense, but it's gone by the next batch. It could just be an artifact of the autofocus coupled with the flash. Those appear to be in a warehouse, and those are notoriously hard to keep free of dust...
  19. Well, Doc and Zforce, thanks for the advice. I guess I could lay out some of the backstory. I'm 26, and my parents got divorced when I was at a young age. We moved to Tampa from DeLand at that time to stay with my mother's parents, and she eventually remarried. He was still in the picture for a few years, but then it kind of trickled and then just stopped one day. Life went on for me, but my sister (one year older, and just hitting high school by then) really took it hard. My mom's new husband is a great guy. I was the best man at their wedding, and he was the best man at my wedding. We get along great, except that he's a showroom stock kind of guy, and I'm a member of Hybridz. The trouble is that my mom likes to drink a lot, and she liked to fight with my sister. So really it's my sister that was looking back to the good old days more than me, because she's had it so much harder than I have. My parents originally divorced because my dad couldn't stay sober, and I guess he's finally come clean in a 12 step this year. When I came back from my honeymoon last October, I had a letter in my stack of mail that was from him, and that was the first anybody had heard from him since we were kids. I gave it to my sister, because I wasn't really ready for it, and she wrote him back. I was thinking along the lines of 280zforce: at BEST we would have a pen pal type relationship, at worst it could be chaotic, and I was just getting stable as a newlywed with a new job. And now today: I and my wife met with my sister and her husband, and we met with this guy at a restaraunt. He was really cool, just like I remembered him to be. It made me glad that he didnt' turn out to be a jerk or anything. I'm not really sure what's it's going to end up like, but I'm glad I did it. He's got a girlfriend of 10 years, and a 5 year old son who both seem like they really want to meet my sister and I. He owns his own business in the Ft. Lauderdale area that relocates large trees for people, and they just recently moved the largest live tree that's ever been moved, so I thought that was pretty cool. Anyway, it seems like it was a good idea to go. I know this is kind of heavy for the non-tech forum, but I had to talk to somebody. Thanks for listening!
  20. What's surprising to me is how many people have come on this thread just to tell us they fear change. If people are scared of what you're doing, you're doing something right. I only post up drawings that I like, I've long since given up trying to guess what other people want. It was mentioned before that it's much easier to say what you don't like than to tell what you DO like. That's mostly because people don't really know what they want (according to my theory) and are waiting to be told what is cool. That's why giant wheels are so popular. You can buy giant wheels, but you can't buy taste or originality. I think I might have convinced myself to get a crappy fiberglass g-nose, just so I can flip the buckets. Everybody that is calling out actual existing body kits is sort of missing the point. OTM is looking for NEW IDEAS, not just variants of the same old stuff.
  21. Well, I'm off to go meet my Dad, who I haven't seen or spoken to in about 15 years. Not really sure how to open up the conversation. How's the weather? How about them Bucs? Where have you been for the last decade and a half? Anybody else been through anything like this before? How did you handle it?
