  1. here's a pic of bill coffey taking a leisurely parade lap at dis. great guy, i was fortunate to meet him [along with many others in the z community] while in daytona.
  2. i fortunate to meet bill for the first time in daytona, great guy and a very nicely prepared z car!
  3. i'm running the same setup [pump, regulator] as quick240z except i do have the vacuum line plumbed from the regulator to the vacuum port at the rear of the intake manifold. if i remember correctly it helps the regulator to more accurately do it's job [i know, that doesn't sound technical but it's as good as i can do...].
  4. i now have the convention cd and will see if i can find any wolf or primadonna pics to post here in the coming days. my fav is the wolf, very menacing!
  5. wooohoooo, fantastic news super dan! told my wife last night about the happenings, she asks, "what's his name?", i-of course say "super dan!", then we prayed.
  6. here are the 2 studio shots they took...almost like my z could be in a magazine, i love it!
  7. thanks, it's one of my fav's as well. it was my first run and i got a bit too hot in that corner, ended up drifting my around. as i entered the corner, steve [the photog] heard the tires squealing, spun around and started shooting-holding down the shutter button, taking several pics in rapid succession. he's putting together a proof for me, using photoshop, of all the pics overlaid somehow or another. hopefully it'll look killer, we'll see if the pics he took will allow it to work.
  8. i was able to get the zcon 07 official cd from steve [the official pic guy] today. got the first one [fortunately i only live a few minutes away] and have pulled a few from the cd to show [off]. the last pic i'm getting a bit loose in the auto-x! i should be able to post my studio photo as well, once he gets it to me. also, here is a before and after shot from the studio [the earlier pics hadn't yet experienced the rain/wet-reflective floor so it had to be 'added'] enjoy!

  10. prayers for the families in cali and that the fires will be extinguished...
  11. you are indeed a mad z man vinh, glad i finally had the pleasure to meet you in daytona this month!!
  12. i know it can be done, mull is doing it on a much worse shell. just not this guy. i'm willing to part with the car as a whole if someone wants to have a restore project, otherwise i'll part it out [as i usually do with one of these fine upstate ny rustbuckets] to help support my [z] habit.
  13. john, thanks:hail:much for posting these specs. once again, you prove to be a great resource. may i add one little correction. the latin phrase you use at the end, i believe should be "caveat utilitor" for "user beware", not "caveat emptor" buyer beware...lol! david
  14. ahh, more pics. came home from work today and there she was, waiting for me! snapped pics of some of the rust. shot some ether, hooked up the jumper cables, spun her over but...no catchy. threw an old plate on the front to keep my neighbors happy. typical rust spots i didn't shoot-frame rails. washed her, my 10 yr old daughter asked "daddy, can i paint designs on the new z". of course, it's black-great canvas to paint on, she begins her artwork tomorrow! here are the pics...a solo shot. looks pretty good after a quick wash, then ebony & ivory, fwd R floor, behind seat-R, L side floor!
  15. i see this is your first post, so i'll be gentle. become intimately familiar with the search function, it will provide more information than you need. i have found that hybrid is an absolutely amazing resource with many, many members that are much smarter than i-so i simply, search, read [over and over] learn and then...do. if, and only if you do not find what you need then post your questions. i'm confident you'll see that the paths have been blazed for you!
  16. very nice. :2thumbs:i really like the alternation between engine cacophony and music. would love to have some vid like this of my z but after watching yours i sadly realize i have No skills in this area...
  17. she arrives via flatbed today, once on the ground i'll be able to further assess the rust. we couldn't move it due to the pass side flat tires... opened the right door, nice musty smell and some...small varmit bones on the carpet. some critter appears to have made a home there, not currently 'at home' though!
  18. there are also some members whose location do not show under their name. i don't know the 'workings' behind what we see but this may limit the search capability.
