  1. If you've pulled just about everything in your computer, chances are a capacitor or a regulation circuit bit the biscuit. Don't bother buying anything for it. A computer will give you an audible or visible warning if there is something wrong with it regarding data storage or any other device, except the CPU. Perhaps the northbridge or southbridge chipsets are fried on the Motherboard. To be completely honest with you, this is where I tell my clients its time for a new computer.
  2. saw a review stating that wix and purolator were the best. purolator pur 1 being the most restrictive but best at filtering. mobil 1 being synthetic like K&N, but cheaply constructed. TRU-FILTER is probably what i will run on my car. 200 bucks, but it lasts the life of the car, so......
  3. Sounds like your CPU took a crap. I've had this problem many times before. Basically what happens is the computer cannot assess the voltage required by the CPU because the voltage regulator on your MB or the voltage control circuit on the CPU itself (under the integrated heat spreader) has crusted up and shattered (ceramic). what happens is that it gets a quick shot of voltage and it fries. IT COULD be your ram, but normally when they CPU is not detected properly, the Auto-RPM Fan speed is defaulted to high by a "working bios" (which would indicated it is working, because the fan is being triggered to the high state). This is to cool any potential heat issues that could be causing the computer to act erratically and is a sign that the computer cannot detect the CPU or another component. • Try removing the video card if you have one, and plug your monitor into the onboard video if there is a slot for it. • If you have two sticks of ram, remove the one closest to the middle. • If you have a sound card, yank it for now. Chances of your vid card being blown seem good. Usually video output is non-existant on a fried vid-card, but i've had the CPU Check *beep* come on even with a dead Vid-card. Things you do not need to pull are your drives. I can't see any reason why a drive would disable other hardware. Does it show anything on screen up until windows, or no video at all?
  4. well aside from the shot having an amazing saturation without blown-out highlights or shadows, u know what they say about artificial flowers, right? The thought lasts as long as they do!
  5. despite the choice to go to the KA-T route (which I find cool too!), i'd go with the VQ35, even from an altima with a 350z transmission, or anything else that would share parts that would fit. 260+ hp without touching the damn thing? sounds good to me.
  6. Anyone know which one goes on an RB30? Or do they make one for the RB30 separately, as the R32 and R33 are even different part numbers (probably has to do with the crank snout).
  7. yeah i'm sorta sad with the devas system. has anyone ever featured it on a car at all? I've not seen one yet.
  8. Thats a good example, Tony. I wasn't saying that people on HybridZ are the people who do this frequently, just saying that I've seen it on every forum, and I like HybridZ. I donated to support HZ because I feel that if I help keep this site up (with the rest of the visitors and donators), we could all NOT have to relearn stuff by using some good info from everyone else and to essentially keep some irons in the fire on all the stuff that has trouble us, until we bring em to a nice shine. Doesn't have to be super special info, but ya know
  9. WOAH! He's getting married to his birthday too?! SWEET.
  10. Nice segment Rob! waitin for the whole episode
  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HybridZ's BIGGEST FOOL! :lmao: J/K Make a Birthday Burnout Video, STAT!
  12. I understand where you're going. As for my original post, I didn't mean to say that we deserve the info. I'm just HOPING that those out there that are trolling the boards and have some good information, and gather good information FROM HZ would either register or actually post something if they feel they've been helped by this site , or a person in particular, at one point in time. (part of the reason why we donated, right?). A couple of times I've seen a post sound pretty sour for reasons I can't explain or understand. What I'm trying to say is that saying nothing is better than saying something without substance... you know... along the lines of say.... "nah-nah nuh boo-boo!", perhaps. LOL I used to work at a shop as a co-op student once. And the owner's brother was such an ass-crevice. He always said "move, you're doing it wrong". Every time. He wouldn't however, tell me HOW to do it right. Instead he wouldn't even show me, he'd just make me hold whatever he was doing until he finished doing my work. Even if it was for something small, he wouldn't offer a bit of info to let me know what I was doing wrong. I think that's pretty selfish. I'm just hoping ppl don't do that on HZ 'cause we're all just lookin for advice and support, realistically. No one if being forced, but a little goes a long way...! At least that's my opinion.
  13. hahaha, surprised i didn't check back here. don't get the 13%, that stuff's bunk!
  14. cam angle is used as a reference for the computer to know how many degrees of rotation have passed since the last or first fire of a cylinder. since the cam angle/valve opening and closing time is somewhat proportional to when a spark plug should fire, if the cam sensor does not turn, the ignition will not know when to fire, or it will not advance or retard the system automatically to save your engine from disaster. in short, yeah. you need a new one.
  15. nice architectural shots Ron! is that with the extension tube?
  16. LOL @ ron and braap's comedic posts. :lmao:
  17. lol. that has nothing to do with this. look up andy frost's vauxhall victor. fastest street car on the planet.
  18. lol. no prob. he deserves to write it himself, but this isn't a leaderboard. This is to show what mods get you where.
  19. i always wondered why they didnt separate the air charge in two on those designs! i mean, just looking at it from the outside, I could never understand what made the second half, or last third of the intercooler even worth having there. the air would loose so much velocity i that area, that making a turn into the fins would be a chore for them. i'm glad you did this mod and posted concrete results
  20. there are no provisions to make a 2 cubic inch chamber to create a vacuum? if so, thats one of the ways i've seen it done. small lines run to the chamber with another line running from the end of the chamber to the booster.
  21. im talkin about meeeee! "person who started it" = thread poster. urs will be done by the end of the year.
  22. but you need to know the rest of the part number!
