  1. You have your spacers on the wrong sides...I did the same thing...the larger spacer should be on the driver's side..... Tim
  2. OK then Vette boy...ever heard of "Google"? http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB11&Number=830851&Main=829912
  3. Hey, at least the old boy is out there giving it stick......
  4. I don't remember you posting that...I you know I read EVERYTHING that you post...... Obviously it's trolling at it's finest, but it's a fun read anyways....

  6. Thanks Chris!! Do you have a url for them? If not I can do a web search. I was thinking about an aftermarket IFS vs. JY Mustang II unit. I figure by the time I've rebuilt the front end from the JY (new bearings, rebuild rack, bushings, brakes etc), I will into as much as an aftermarket kit, so.... I want IRS, so I think the Jag cage is the way to go. I want to keep the car original (at least cosmetically) with a nice reliable drivetrain with some power, so I think I will rebuild my SBC (mild build, low compression, high torque) and 200 4R. With the available Jag ratios, it should cruise nicely with good gas mileage..... Tim
  7. Stony....this should be posted in the classified section......
  8. Mark, Maybe PM Dan (Admin) Porter with a link to this topic. I am not sure that I have anough knowledge of the software to mess with it....I would hate to get more screwed up than you are already Tim
  9. Here is Terry's post from the other (duplicate) post, which has been deleted:
  10. Dan, Welcome to the Board!! If you have any questions on site 'do's and don'ts', a list of rules and regs are listed at the top of each forum. Now that's out of the way!!.... http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=34144 For editting the LT1.....get TunerCat and a cable from Andrew at AKM Electronics. TunerCat = ~$90 Cable = ~$90 Much cheaper than LT1 Edit and you aren't limited to one PCM, so you can tune your buddies' cars for some extra $$$. I am using that exact same drivetrain (model and year) in my Z. The FI wiring is not hard to sort out at all. As mentioned above, get the manual from JTR, use the search function as every question you have has been asked and answered several times..... If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM, or email me....... Here is something to get you going: http://www.tunercat.com/ http://www.akmcables.com http://www.andywhittaker.com/ecu/ecu_software.htm Tim OH, and here is your :malebitchslap:

  12. If you've never done any welding, or fabbing, and this is going to be a primary vehicle, then I would pass on it. If you had something else to drive, then I would say go for it..... Tim
  13. Aww...man...so close!!! Well done anyways!! Tim
  14. I think that she's just happy that I unloaded the Bike (ZX-7)...she's really good about my little 'impulsiveness'.... Tim
  15. It's a 1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe Sedan. From the brochure that came with it, it appears to be the 'Full option' version of the time period. Not sure on color yet. Keeping in mind the intended use of the car, I'm thinking two tone Silver (kinda like the old Rolls Royces), or 2 tone White and grey.... Datsun Lover, Let me know if you can find me some details on your buddy's front suspension conversion....I'm kinda flying blind on this one!! Tim
  16. Current year minus 29years. You obviously have not taken my advice form your other post! Use the search function before posting questions... Thanks,
  17. Please post in only one forum. Other posts deleted. Please read this: http://hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=34144&highlight=
  18. Inline 6 not sure on displacement He wanted $4k, but he took $3k. I had it towed this morning the 3 blocks to my house. Someone already want to buy it from me for $5k, but I am falling in love with the hulk... I plan: Jag rear Mustang II front IRS SBC and 200 4R (both already been sitting in the garage for years waiting for a new home) Cosmetically...back to stock, except for the front bench will go in favor of comfy seats (Yukon, or escalade), AC system and stereo. This will be the family cruiser.... Tim
  19. Had it towed over this morning. Looks pretty bad, but the body is actually in very straight condition. Everything is there. It came with the original owners manual, factory service manual, original dealer brochure, factory issue color chip chart and paint mix recipes, and a bunch of other docs.....
  20. Nah...I prefer black, not red. Red makes me look fat!
  21. Riiiiight!! (Although....they are sized in womans sizes, so....)
  22. As soon as Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicles are available, that's when I plan to immerse myself in the 'alternate' lifestyle!! Tim
