  1. Did you leave a message on the machine....never know, someone might call you! Otherwise, go to the City Hall and see if their business license is paid up, if not inquire about the vehicles...
  2. WEll...don't know about that one wheel man....folks have sent me PMs and although I have been online and received others, even from the same person, some still sit in their outbox...... Tim
  3. Seems to happen periodically (I know it's not just mine)....'sup wid dat?
  4. Hmmmmm I think I need another Z/project :malebitchslap: .....yeah, like I need a hole in the head!!
  5. Damnit!! Figures they start making parts again after mine is done!!!!
  6. Did you repurge your cooling system after the hose replacement?
  7. Yeah...the video is just such a tease!!! POS!!
  8. Ernie, Here you go: MSD part number: 32139 Or summit part number:MSD-32139 http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=MSD%2D32139 Like I said, it comes with the Opti side of the wire pre-assembled (apparently it's very easy to mess it up, that's why MSD does it at the factory), and comes with a cool little crimping tool and cutting tool to do the other side. The wires are plenty long enough, with even the shortest of the wires being long enough for the #7, or #8 plugs. Just read the directions on crimping really well before starting. Tim
  9. Ernie, Plug wires....MSD has a nice set that is universal, but has the Opti side pre-assembled. If you want the part number, I can find it for you. Summit has it. As for OEM parts, best places are: http://www.GMPartsDirect.com and Jason Cromer @ Sam Taylor Buick/Cadillac in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Jason has the Best prices on certain big ticket items, like water pump--$126 and Opti was about $50 less than ANYWHERE else... Tim
  10. do a search through the 'other engines' board....there's pages of it.....
  11. It's gonna be easier now, than after you put it in the Z. Tim
  12. $15k to $20k sounds about right, depending on what you want out of it. If you want reliability, everyday transportation, it is likely cheaper to buy a brand new car.....but what fun is that!! Also, depending on how long your project takes, it doesn't hurt that much as you end up spending the $$ over a few years. Tim
  13. I bought one today. Walbro GSL392 255lph inline pump from an Ebay vendor for $124.00 shipped. http://www.mmotorsports.com/ Anyone who says a V8 conversion is cheap is just plain kidding themselves!! But what the hell....it's only money!
  14. Uhh...no actually the gauge uses mental telepathy to sense the amount of fuel...sorry, I'm in a strange mood...must be Z-car withdrawls Most cells do come with a sender, usually a GM style (ohm) sender. I used this one: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=SUM%2D290100
  15. With a fuel gauge, just like any other normal human being
  16. I used the holes that the OEM setup used for the strap to mount my front diff mount. I posted the part numbers for the driveshaft U-joint and flange under it's own heading. I'll see if I can find it, but I posted it that way to make searching for it easier, so give it a shot. Tim Here it is: http://www.hybridz.org/nuke/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=27834&highlight=r230+flange+part+numbers
  17. Cut some of your old hose and wrap it around the offending area and zip tie it on. Then get a thin piece of aluminum or sheet metal and place it over the double wrap. At least that way, if it does contact the alternator fan again, you will hear it right away.... Tim
  18. OK...where the heck can I buy a Walbro in-line 255lph pump locally!!!!!! Anyone from LA know?
  19. Well....I looked up the specs on the MSD pump and it is only rated at 43 gal/hr at 12 volts. That converts to 162.792 liters per hour at 12 volts. The LT1 (from what I can find on the net) is oem at 190lph. Looking at the flow chart, at 13.5 volts, the MSD pump is just barely making the 190lph mark, so it appears to be maxed out at the minimum requirement. I think my next move will be to pick up a Walbro 255lph pump, which appears to be the standard 'upgrade' to the F-body crowd. I have already picked up a set of Accel 30lb injectors to replace the old (and in my honest opinion) worn out stock 26lb injectors. We'll see what happens! I want to change one thing at a time so I can know what the problem actually was. I will start with the fuel pump. Either way I'll put on the new injectors...just for piece of mind..... Tim
