  1. You mean kinda like that one dude on "King of the Hill"? I can't remember his name...I'm not much of an aficionado. Tim
  2. Hubba Hubba ...skirt suit or pant suit? Tim
  3. Hey Grump! You gonna make a liar out of re: the Canfields? Tim
  4. Mike, I beg to differ. You guys speak "American". It has strayed far enough away from the 'Queen's English', that it can no longer be mistaken for same, esp. the written language. Tim
  5. Guys, this is all pretty amusing, but lets just remember the HybridZ mission statement. Tim
  6. Keep an eye on the local classifieds. You may find a wrecked car that someone is parting out. Before I pulled my engine I ran it. Nice to have that piece of mind. Most of the dismantllers will offer a warranty and guarantee running conditions. You'll pay a little more, but maybe it's worth it to you. Here are a couple of places: http://www.billygrahamsfirebird.com/ http://www.tabercorvetteparts.com/parts/engines.html http://www.gmsports.com/Conv.asp Tim
  7. I seem to remember that our venerable GrunpyVette touts the Canfields pretty heavily. I don't have any experience with them, but if Grumpy likes them........ http://www.canfieldheads.com/sbc.html Tim
  8. Without a garage this is going to be hard to do. Expect to have the car off the road for about a month. That's realistic. Others may say it can be done in a long weekend, but this is somewhat unrealistic because of all the little things that pop up....broken bolts, electrical problems and so on and so on.... Do you have the tools and ability to perform such a project? Whatever you do, get the JTR manual first and read it several times, cover to cover before you even think of starting to procure parts. A word from the wise (well, from me anyway) Read this if you haven't already: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19186 Tim
  9. DAMN that's nice man!!! Lots of work...Trust me I know!!! That is gonna look bitchin when you shoot color!!! Major kudos dude!! Boy, this came out of the blue...I don't remember seeing this project before!! Tim
  10. Here is one on ebay with a 'buy it now' of $1500.00 94 LT1 and 4 speed auto. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2411564374&category=33615 or 96 LT1 engine only for $1200 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2411564520&category=33615 The deals are out here.... Tim
  11. Hmmmm... So you're gonna string us all along a little while longer huh? Dogg Tim
  12. Hey Mike, when are we gonna see some pics!!!! All this 'titilating is getting old man!! Tim
  13. If power AND fuel economy are your driving targets, then I would suggest a fuel injected engine with an overdrive tranny (4L60E/700R4, or T56{double overdrive}). I think that the easiest FI setup would be the LT1 V* from a 94-96 Z28/Firebird/Vette, etc. Tim
  14. Mudge, Can you provide some details on that setup. Is that the Maxima stuff? Are you using the Maxima bracket, or Ross's 240sx bracket? Tim
  15. Yeah I agree. The Z car unibody is a like place for rust!! Take along a little magnet to check for bondo. The correct way to repair rust is to cut out the offending area and weld in a patch panel, then use plastic filler. Tim
  16. I have a set of Summit block huggers. I ended up buiding my own full length headers. $50 plus shipping. Tim
  17. Point of reference: I got my 1994 LT1/T56 for $1400, but had to pull it myself, which was OK because I got alot of extra stuff from the Z28. Tim
  18. Not much in the way of details, but looks nice anyways: http://www.tyguy.net/gmc_sy_ttv8_berlin.htm Tim
  19. I'm surprised that Putz has an approval rating as high as it is. Must be the 'entertainers' vote!! 24% approval....BAH! Tim
  20. Glad you got a good starting point. Keep us updated as to the eventual issue. Tim
  21. I can't really give any promises on exact price, but when you get your group buy together, I'll lobby for you guys. The other person that showed an interest was Mike (brokebolt). Tim
  22. Hmmm.... I hear that 'Uncle Ben' is looking for a ride Tim
