  1. Just pick up a pair of 240 strut housings at the JY. Much easier. Tim
  2. That'sa exactly what I'm using, and how I'm using the fuel cell, although I stepped one of the outlets down to -6 for the return. Tim

    dash ????

Same problem here. Had to do a bunch of trimming around the vents and the glove box, but it looks 'ok'. If I ever find a good deal on an uncracked dash, I won't think twice about replacing it. Tim
  4. Try this for some possible info: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20029&highlight=mazda+b2000 Tim
  5. The gearing in a power steering unit is different from a manual unit, so without the hydraulic assist the power steering rack will be very difficult to turn. Tim
  6. Jack up the front of the car as high as you can. That makes the radiator cap by far the highest part of the system. That way you much more of a chance of ALL the air 'pockets' in the block/heads burping up to the radiator. Run the engine with the cap off and keep topping off the coolant. When it's completely full, replace the cap. That's about it. It will generally result in an overfull colling system, so expect a little coolant to piss out later. Tim
  7. I believe with those spring rates you will turn the unibody into the suspension. You will need to go with some Penske's or custom Bilsteins. Tim
  8. Tach is no problem. Just needs a signal, which the LS1 PCM can provide. Speedo: get the electronic one ($$$$$$), and then all it needs is signal fromPCM. If you are getting electric water temp and oil pressure, then they will come with senders. Voltmeter is no problem. No senders required. Fuel level may be a problem, unless you are changing to a GM 0-90 ohm sender. Why a boost gauge? Are you going forced induction on the LS1? Tim
  9. As Hannibal says " I love it when a plan comes together!" Tim
  10. Daniel, Thanks for the use of your garage. Very much appreciated!! (my fuel line on the ZXT from the pump split and fuel was pissing out). Hope you didn't get hell from the 'Terminator"! Tim
  11. Check for fuel leaks near the tank, or on teh breather hoses in the 'trunk' area. Tim
  12. Ya know, if I ever did something like that I would be wayyyyy more scared of my Parents, than what the legal system had in store, but let's not get into the sissy @$$ liberal upbringing of kids today (esp. from the Middle to Upper Class level of society)..."Oh No, don't discipline little Johnny, you might damage his self-esteem etc" blah blah blah!!!! Tim
  13. Charlie, Actually it happened in CA, I moved to PA. Then Moved out of the Country for a few years and now back in CA. No problems getting my CA DL reissued, so I bet that when they couldn't find me they just dropped the whole thing. It was such a bogus deal anyways!! It was just the 'Man' trying to beat me down!! Tim
  14. I say just lien sale the car and be done with it!!! Saving that Z from an idiot owner! Tim
  15. When I was 16 I hit a parked car due to a mechanical failure (steering linkage broke). I was going pretty slowly and the damage to the old "Rambler wagon" was minimal. No one was home so I left a note on the car with all my details. Well it rained a couple of evenings later, destroying the note. Next thing I know, I'm being pulled out of class by the local PD and being charged with misdemenor "hit and run". Bummer!! Well, it just so happened that my parents were moving to PA from CA around that time and I heard nothing more of it. My insurance sorted everything out, so, no harm, no foul I guess. At this point I'm assuming that the Statute of Limitations has expired,....... Tim
  16. As long as you never encounter speed bumps or high angle driveways!!! ouch!
  17. There is a pic on my site of a R180 next a R230. The r180 and R200 are fairly similar in appearance, the R230 is very different, so that should give you an idea. Tim
  18. my system couldn't play the video, but kudos man. I know the feeling!!! When I started my LT1 for the first time, I was like a little school girl. I remember running out to the garage in the middle of dinner, just to fire it again!!!! Can't wait until the motor it back in for the last time!!! Congrats man, you've been working hard and it's paying off Tim
