  1. Powdercoating them, thats an idea! I supose they would have to be taken back apart to do that huh? I would think the oven heat would affect the silicone used between the alum wheel halfs, bolted together. Whata you think? The centers on these wheels are shot peened, then black anodized. I was thinking on having the lip anodized awhile back, since I don't care for the polished look as much as a dark wheel... Sorry to say, I'll be keeping them either way it ends up going. Thanks for the offer though...
  2. Well Yasin, you just made my day... If I can get them anywhere near looking that nice, I'll be content. Mine new out of the box didn't have as nice of a polish on them!! I'll try that product you showed in the black can, thanks my friend... **Edit ** BTW Yasin, can I find that ExTreem stuff at a store??
  3. Are you serious.... you use a impact on your alum spacers? I've always heard thats a no no.....
  4. I can't belive what I let happen to my $2,200 wheels. I took my car and had the engine bay soda blasted so I could change it from undercoating black, to this Well, I didn't think when I washed off the soda with a water hose that if I didn't rinse the wheels good enough, this would happen... I'm just so sick to my stomach right now. The soda has etched itself into my new wheels. I washed them down today and its there for good. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this, besides just getting a green scratch pad to them and making the alum a matte finish....?? I wonder if I can take the tires back off and send them back to CCW and have them re buff them?
  5. Wow...thats great info. Please stay with it and post up the wiring diagram once you get the self park to work....
  6. Sure did turn out nice Mike. Hey guys, if you need some parts powdercoated, 2003z (Mike) can hook you up with some good quaility powdercoating here>>www.thepowdercoater.com Here is my custom Thagard rb26dett alum oil pan click to enlarge;
  7. I wonder why my SFP header never once gave me a problem.... I ran the hell out of it for over a year w/o ANY warpage, or leakage. It was JetHot coated their 2000 black, and left unwraped. I think TimO also has had good luck with his (not counting all the trouble he had getting it made and sent to him)
  8. What gear oil are you using? I hear nothing but high praises about the Redline Heavy shock proof curing the dreaded gear crunch in the rb trans.... I have two rb25det trans, and thats what I have to use in them (until I gernade them...) then I'll try a auto.... I'd give the Redline a shot at curing it.....
  9. Thanks !! can you snap a pic to show it off??
  10. Hey Mike, do you plan on buying any from ARP? If so, do you have the part#'s, I'd like to get enough to do my rb head...
  11. That may be fine for a stock zxt, but if your pushing any real HP, a 3:9 is a bit short..... unless you like going thru all the gears in the first 60 ft....
  12. The one I removed from a 76 2+2 parts car weighs close to 10 lbs....
  13. Been there, done that ..... Looks like its time for the Z32 trans mod huh? Thats what I'll be running behind the rb26 (except in the rb25 case, ie same gearset)
  14. What ever you do, DON'T BUY FROM OSUCKA!!! They ripped me and MANY others off. Read these threads and you will understand why not to use them... http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69275&highlight=osaka http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=573881
  15. Here's a list of RB parts supliers that will ship to us here in the U.S. http://www.xs-engineering.com/ http://www.rbmotoring.com/ http://www.theskylineshop.com/ http://www.nengun.com/ http://www.coximports.com/ http://www.dynamicautosports.com/ http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ http://www.japsalon.com/ http://www.greenline.jp/ http://www.whifbittz.co.uk/ http://www.justjap.com/ http://www.signalauto.co.jp/USAindex.html http://www.more-japan.com/ http://www.jarcoinc.com/
  16. Thats the smartest move, buy a rb25det front cut. It'll save you alot of head ache down the road. Watch out for buying the motorset by itself. I've heard alot of the shisters selling them try to pull one over on you by giving a rb20 trans, instead of the proper rb25det box.... The rb26 is prolly the best as far as getting aftermarket parts for it. I'm sure the 25 has alot of parts avail to, but most state side parts sellers I find, keep more 26 stuff than for the 25.
  17. I've had a PM limit way above 250 for the longest time, now today I get cut down to 250, which makes me have to delete hundreds of PM's just to be able to send or receive any.... what gives? Edit... oh, I get it, its money time again I guess.
  18. How about www.hybridz.org NOT .com Thread>> http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113300
