Yea it does kinda baffle the mind. All I can think is, maybe electric fan=cooler water, mech fan= cooler exterior motor/componets Looks damm nice anyway he'd have it...

a 74-78 2+2 brake booster will fit your 280z. it's your choice which one to use....

yep, sounds like the tell tell sounds of a good one gone bad.... I'd find a 2+2 booster in good shape and install that. Thats what I put on my 74, it works a whole lot better....

I picked up a neihbors 88 Conquest last month for a spare car to drive with only 57,000 easy miles on it. I also love the way the car handles. I twisted the W/G rod a bit to up the boost (only raised it by 3 lbs though) and it runs ok I guess... I'm just spoiled after driving my beast...

You will have to build a common vacum log to draw a signal from all tbs at once....

Seems to me that during rear wheel travel, (up & down) the halfshafts expand and retract, and they would be popping in and out of the diff. Not to mention gear oil sling..... I could very well be dead wrong here, but thats what I'd be concerned with.

What I had happen to me one time is I had a Diff sent to me and the axels were damaged, so I called ups and they said that the shipper has to file the claim also, so we did this and aprox three weeks later the check went to him, then he sent it to me. The shipper gets paid and if he's honest enough, he'll pay you. I think this is a bunch of BS, but thats the way it went with my damaged goods sent via ups from a "private party". A problem with damage sent from a buisness may be handled differnt.... Good luck either way.

It s hard to try and compare or explain the sound it makes under full boost.... whoops, yes I do, it sounds like " damm, I just got spanked "
