  1. I wonder what the 48 inch wide rims would look like
  2. Skib, Bryan Miner has one of those honing dealie-os that attaches to a drill and has a bunch of spherical "stones". Just a thought...
  3. I think that may be a bit high...I remember paying ~150 for an Argon filled 4 foot tank. I get most of my welding supplies from Quimby Then I got a "shorty" 2-3 footer refilled with 75-25 for 45 bucks. The regulator (to me) seems like it might be too pricey, but I'm not the resident expert... Hope this helped.. Later, -hughdogz
  4. You can probably get the (automotive) studs at a local automotive or hardware store, no need to kill yourself on international shipping... The size is M10x1.5 and the stock ones are a little over 1.5 inches long. 1/2 inch longer would be about 50mm Here is an example: http://www.pronto.com/M10-X-1.5-X-p_1117925661-PP Although for the stock stud, the threaded portion that goes into the manifold is a little over 1/2 inch. You may need to bore out the holes in the spacer a little to account for the non-threaded portion (at least that is what I ended up doing). hope this helped...
  5. Haha! I was watching the same series too. "We have ~34 LCD televisions at this price" ...meanwhile there are 100's of people outside clamoring for them. What the hell are the people thinking arriving late as the ~500th person? Do they think they will be one of the first ~34? ...just push your way to the front of the herd.
  6. I have a Wangan Midnight PS2 game that a friend brought back from Japan (you need a mod chip to get it to play on American PS2's though). It has a 240z...I still can't get past level 3...sheesh.
  7. Great video Yasin, awesome work Man. The vid was pretty mellow until you fired it up, then I was like Holy ---- wow sounds amazing.
  8. Hell yeah, I think I'm having "PIR with-draw-rulls" right now... Maybe we can hit up the "Winter Wonderland Lights" scene this year, just to get back on the track, lol. from 11/27/2008 - 1/1/2009
  9. 40...40? I still can't believe it. Here's (another) one for John!! -hughdogz
  10. Yay!! Happy Birthday John... Did you get any parts for your Z?
  11. Looks great (as usual) Skib! The shape is just like the actual track I may be interested in a couple... Have you checked out the "master plan" yet? http://www.portlandraceway.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=1&Itemid=2 Later, -hughdogz

    Wolf noob

Hey Ross, Sweet Dude!! "Another Wolf Joins the Pack" ...owW...oWW...OWW!!
  13. On the Motorsport Z-Car Nationals feature!! {Edit: I see Nebsheer's Hoshinos there too! (good job guys!) }
  14. WOW! ...drool... It is funny, I noticed that they can't help but check themselves out too. Stiffness = 5 lbs / inch, damping = .01 lbs * second / in
  15. I believe that it belongs to a "used car" lot in Japan. At least that is where it was advertised at one time...
  16. Mikelly's Golf-cart! (Yeah, the image is huge on purpose )
  17. I used the CHTS for my Wolf install. I think Bo (KTM) used the coolant temp sensor located in the thermostat housing, and he's logging the CHTS as reference. Ron says the two sensors have the same voltage versus temperature curve. [Edit: I was trying to say you want a sensor, not a switch for the ECU]
  18. Sweet! The 3.5" fits in there pretty good. So it's not too loud? Thats a relief to me, since your Burns muffler looks even more straight-through than my oval Borla XR-1!
  19. Great thread Guys!! I can visualize how segmented bends can cause flow separation at the inside-corner walls and create turbulence, (aka "tumbling" => backpressure). I've been trying to keep them to a minimum, but sometimes that is all I can come up with in a pinch. I realize now I probably have 10x more weld bead than needed, lol. It is great to see others handy-work for guidance. What is the deal with stainless over aluminized? That the corrosion is less? It seems it would only matter on the inside, where you can get more buildup from the carbon / oxidation?? If you're in the PacNW / Left coast, I like this outfit for raw mandrel bends / V-bands at at decent price: http://store.racing-solutions.org/ Austin...20-30 hours of cutting and Tig'ing...huh? I was wondering how you were able to do those collector cuts and make it come out perfect!! Very Nice Job. rdelat, I've always admired your builds. Thanks for posting up that photo Man!! ...that last one is an S130
  20. I think 280ZForce has same side, but routed the intake pipe under the radiator support to get cool air. Like Bleach mentioned, it can be as much as ~40F degrees cooler air in front of the radiator then in the engine compartment...
