  1. Here ya go! You can see the mounting tab for the cable as reference (lower right hand, corner). In case the image isn't clear, from 10 o'clock it is Black, Red, Green, White (going anti-clockwise)
  2. Thanks for posting those pics Yasin! Worldson, that car's owner is lifegrddude. From Zdriver:
  3. Damn...I'm impressed! It looks a hell of a lot better than my "attempts"
  4. Hi Prox, looking good. Could you post some pics of what it looks like before cleaning up all the "slag"? I'm curious to see what it looks like.
  5. Holy cow! At ~3:17 in the second vid it gets ugly for the MKII. I like the youtube comment "...Javier wins the battle but not the war, as Webb took the '92 ITS championship by only one point. "
  6. Yeah, I was kidding and giving you a hard time for posting to this thread: Youngins: How'd you end up with a Z? I think Roger is nutz for building a high-comp motor with 0.550" lift and eyebrowed pistons for street use. He'll have to bring a barrel of Sunoco 260 race gas on the cruises, lol. I think he still lives off Jackson school road. I wonder what happened with the place he bought out at Hagg lake...his shop was giant, but I hear the one at Hagg lake is the size of a hanger.
  7. It sucks to hear that Cygnusx1. It doesn't seem any better over here on the left coast. I count my blessings that I'm still employed (for now). At least you can spend spend more time with your kid now...
  8. Nice "lifting" springs on the rear!! It still can't top the ZEBOR GENIE !!
  9. In about a month, Skib will turn 21. That just leaves the Cheg brothers (and Soundmasterg who still considers himself a "youngin" )
  10. It's been discussed before: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=132014&highlight=porting Most notably, Monzter (and 510Six) have a really good solution: Hope this helps, -hughdogz
  11. I have a Toyota 4x4 turbo and the sender went out. The Haynes manual says anything above 4.3 psi at idle is fine, @3000 RPM, 36-71 psi. I hooked up a mechanical pressure gage and I'm at 40 psi at idle... I know it is a different engine, but they can't be that far off (I would think). I can't find any minimum oil pressure specs in either of my Datsun Haynes manuals. Hope this helps Peter! -hughdogz
  12. Doh! I must have inadvertently clicked the show / hide "chevron" for search options and somehow it stuck... I apologize for the noise. Thanks BRAAP!
  13. Hi Admins, I noticed that advanced search only allows keywords and username. We used to be able to seach particular forums, dates, etc. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious... Thanks! -hughdogz
  14. I thought I'd post up some exterior pics from last summer!
  15. Hey, thanks for the props thetremendoustim. But, I think there are a lot more badass ZX's than mine. Take a look at JeffP, Bernardd, Warren, Rossman or Guy80LT1 just to name a few... I still have a long way to go to catch up to them (and I may never be able to do that, but I'll keep trying )
  16. Doh! That's what I didn't do . I'll read up in my manual and online to see if reversing the polarity is required (you're probably right though). I need to weld a -6AN bung to my upper thermostat housing soon...hopefully it will turn out okay. Nismopick, yes it was homemade. I shortened a wand to ~3 feet and there was no "birds nest" from the aluminum spool.
  17. Amazing they can fit this into a free 5MB download (Linux, Mac or Windows)
  18. I've done it with a shortened wand (no spool gun) using a 120V Millermatic 135. I agree with Nismopick, you really need 220V and heat up the workpiece (I used MAP gas). I had to crank up the Argon flow to just under the "arc blowout" stage (~25 CFM), or else the weld would be too porous and contaminated. First attempt: Uglyness:
  19. Happy Birthday SUPER-Dan!! Thanks for keeping HBZ the best z-car site EVER. (Why am I always late to the party...)
  20. I finally got the damper honed out. I took it to Dan Hutchkins (one of Portland's premiere engine builders). He used a mic on the crank snout: Crank snout diameter: 1.3772" (~34.9809 mm) I asked that he make it between 3 and 8 tenths of a thousandths under. He made it six tenths of a thou under. He had to take 1.1 thousandths out (0.0011 inch). In his shop, he had a V-8 big block made of a piece of billet Aluminum!! He said it cost ~8 grand.
  21. Good eye Nismopick! There is also another massive leak at the cold start injector port. Is the input flange / barb to the idle air regulator bolted to the throttle body, or is unbolted from the intake manifold? I can't tell from the pic...
  22. Amazing!! Are you running nitrous too? I see what looks like a wet-nozzle setup before the throttle body.
  23. I just bought a longer bolt to use as the installer tool.
