    Purchased a complete SDS system (advertised as from a running turbo zcar) a couple of months back and just now got around to taking a REALLY close look at it, and I have some concerns about the crank damper. It appears to have seen some rough duty and I am hoping to get some opinions as to whether or not it is useable. Keyway looks pretty rough and there appears to be a crack as well. Any knowledgeable opinions are welcome. Thanks.

    One more vote for NOT putting on flares when you don't need them. Your car looks good without them Bubbles. Besides, SOOO many people are doing them now (ZGs, that is), don't you want to retain a little uniqueness? At least until you NEED them? It's almost like people getting tattoos nowadays, you used to stand out if you had them, but now you're more unique if you DON'T.

    Have you checked the Big Nickel? I can't remember the name, but I was pretty sure there was a Japanese engine supplier in Reno or Sparks that used to advertise in there. Worth a shot.

    Brad-Mans movie is called "King of the Mountain" and it had Dennis Hopper in it, and Harry Hamlin from L.A. Law. Z only makes a short appearance in it.

    That is a smoking deal, no way I would go any lower. I agree with HadesOmega, with the ease of the FI turbo swap and upgrades, I think your setup will be a harder sell, unless you go ebay and open up your audience. Not wanting to ship it really narrows your audience too. Breaking it up into smaller pieces would definitely help you sell it faster, and make more money, but I can understand not wanting to.

    ANY clutch pedal from a 70-78 will NOT work. I converted my early 260z to manual and the pedal is different than the 240z pedal. I bought the complete pedal assembly from a 240z on ebay and the pedal angled differently, almost touching the brake pedal, wouldn't have worked without modification. I can't remember for sure about the 280z pedals, I lucked out and found an early 260 in my local junkyard.

    Lots of Nissan dealerships are unable or don't know how to find parts for you without a VIN number. I went in looking for a genuine nissan thermostat and they would not sell me one without me providing a VIN for what car it was going into. So I provide the VIN and what do they give me? That's right, a thermostat that is made to fit ALL L6 engines and a few other models to boot! Riverz - you MAY need a VIN from a Euro ZX Turbo for them to be able to help you.

    Assembled megasquirts are available here: http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirti-programmable-system-pcb30-assembled-unit-p-56.html as well as other places. With either MS or SDS you can indeed eliminate the afm, they are MAP based systems.
