  1. Thanks for the support gang! Regards - Yasin
  2. I disagree, these cars are still very affordable. For $2000 or $3000 or $4000 you get alot of car for the money. These cars deserve to be going up in value, they are beautiful, they run fantastic they have a great racing history. Its about time they come into their "own", I am sick of the American and European car values going up or staying high, its about time that these Japanese classics started appreciating as well. Yasin
  3. They are journalists...wanna be gearheads...I would not trust them to check my tire pressure.
  4. aHHHH...a great way to star tthe morning...I want that car..! Yasin
  5. Justin - I recently bought a new Turbo Oil pump from Dave at Arizona Z Car. Try that. Yasin
  6. I actually had this happen to me and I went shooting into on coming traffic - to say I was scared is a understatement - I was thinking three years to build this car and my first day out in it I am going to be killed! Mind you it was my old RWD Corolla AE86 Turbo and the downpipe I made was not well designed and it was binding on the rack at a cerain angle...but on a Z its totally different. ..BTW..I am not sure why you need such an expensive rack from MSA...I bought a reman. lifetime rack for my Z at my local parts store for half that cost and has all the boots and inner tie rod ends. When you have the car up in air does the steering feeling silky smooth as you turn from extreme right to extreme left? I'm still abit confused on if it is the rack or as some others say the lock on the ignition barrel. Yasin
  7. Glad you got your key way issues sorted Daniel! We should have a CO get together sometime, there are a few of us within an hour of each of each other. My car should be done in a few weeks. Yasin
  8. Nice video 'cutter! I did not see any 280ZXs also are turbo Z31s rare in Australia? Yasin
  9. I think with the cops they have to physically catch him with their equipment before they can take action. The speedometer readout was not clear and the digital highest speed recorded can be argued as being incorrect. He might have a chance, slim.... Yasin
  10. You bought "that" for your wife's birthday...then you are going to paint the car in Rustoleum....man, you REALLY know how to treat your lady! There's an 8track on eBay right now that will be awesome in that 280Z, do you have a Wedding Anniversary coming-up per chance? Yasin
  11. I was very fortunate to actually tour his garage (its actually 4 massive warehouses) this summer, a private tour with Jay alone. It was simply breathtaking...we spent a good portion of Saturday afternoon there and he was extremely friendly, funny and *REALLY* gracious. I have the utmost respect for him. He used to own a '67 Datsun Roadster and its one of the cars he actually regrets selling. Yasin
  12. I made my own mounts that tie into the 10mm valve cover bolts, strong, simple and cost about $1.00 and took 10minutes...I will post some pics later tonight. Regards - Yasin
  13. Many thanks guys! I do appreciate it. Yesteday was a very good day for progress ! I mocked up the intercooler and the oil cooler and also a fair bit of intercooler piping as well...more pics to come, after my friend does his Tig welding magic and I get the pipes coated. Stay tuned. Regards - Yasin
  14. Thanks for the clarification Joe! That is really an awesome car...wow! Yasin
  15. Get 1 Fast Z to fabricate a custom engine for you and mate two VQ35s together = VQ70! Yasin
  16. Really nice car...wow! Surprised that he is still running SUs mind you. The price is a steal. The seller has Zero feedback and just joined eBay...so caution! Yasin
  17. See it here first boys and girls. My good friend Brian was lucky enough to attend...here are the pics...some incredible candy there, the new Skyline is looking great too. http://picasaweb.google.com/tyndago/07GTRMeet Enjoy! Yasin
  18. Nice video and run..what are the specs on your L28ET? Yasin
  19. Joe - Nice find! Wow...I would love to have that in my garage! I cannot believe the bidding, but I guess I should not be surprised with the prices of American Muscle these days. Did all GNXs comes with that boost gauge, as it looks aftermarket? I am surprised with the rust on the brake caliper. I bet that thing is a huge leak waiting to happen, once it is driven some more. If GM had money they could buy it back and stick it in a museum (or maybe Jay Leno might be interested). Sweet machine! Yasin
  20. The first video had a nice Datsun Roadster in the background as well. Yasin
  21. Provided everything is in good condition, you are getting alot of stuff in that auction and the price is excellent, everything you need pretty much. If I was going to turbo my stock normally aspirated L28, I would use eveything in that auction, plus a very efficient intercooler, a larger fuel pump and a rising rate fuel press. regulator. Plus I would only run 5psi of boost with stock injectors and stock compression, which would still be plenty fast. Controlling detonation and Exhaust Gas Temps is the golden key to longevity! Lots of info on this site, so grab a coffee or beer and a few hours and do some reasearch - you will be plenty glad. Never heard of Z Performance Racing before, but that 280Z in their YouTube video was VERY impressive. Yasin
  22. I know the feeling! Congrats. I take it everything went smooth with the re-install of the head, which HG did you go with? Yasin
  23. Thanks guys! I guess I forget about the good ole try, true and tested Hack Saw! I did borrow a really nice Ryobi mitre saw from a friend and the blade thickness looks like it might really damamge metal as it was cutting, I will have to try it and report back in. The 80-90 tooth blades for this saw is $50, more than I thought. Thanks for the feedback. Yasin
  24. Guys - What do you recommend? I have a nice DELTA bench mounted band saw which is perfect for a straight cut on a straight piece of pipe but the blade tends to wander if I have to make an angle cut like say 22degrees. I am using 2.5" diameter piping. What do you guys use - a chop saw? Thanks & Regards - Yasin
