  1. The Q45 is freaking monster its 90mm in diameter? I actually had one and sold it. The TPS is no biggie to set on it (standard three prong plug) on it but adapting the linkage would take some messing for sure and trying to adapt it plus I seem to remember that JeffP is putting down what close to 450whp and 500ft.lbs with a the 60mm KA TB, so I figure the almost 70mm BMW TB should be plenty good for me! Never say never maybe down the road if I get bored I might try it! Yasin
  2. John - Good stuff! Looking forward to more pics and progress as you address the little things here and there! Gotta love good brakes too! If you want to get more exotic with the brakes Brian has the solution! Yasin
  3. Wow great site Terry, I loved looking at the cars even the one they have sold...nice and easy to navigate too and the pics load nice and quick too. Coooool....and tempting! Yasin
  4. Wow...18" - 14lbs! And some pretty big claims...your thoughts? http://www.designtek.eu/PDF/Carbonwheel.pdf Yasin
  5. Daniel - OK...but my offer stands if Paypal falls through and if you need to blow off some steam...justice..just the old fashion way. Is anyone going to post pics from the Tynan show? I can host it on my website if someone emails the pics to my email address - slownrusty@yahoo.com Sorry I could not make it, my ZXT is still in a thousand pieces but I am hoping the wait will be worth it. Sounds like it was fun! Yasin
  6. John - Very Cool! Sounds like you got a great deal on the Roadster and it was well put together. I remembered from the description that he is using a Toyota truck radiator a Starion intercooler - right? What is the boost set to? That car sits low too...wow...! I am not surprised that you have to take your time and crawl over bumps. Your "breaking the tires loose in 3rd gear" makes me smile like crazy! I love it! I am sure once you work out the few rattles and clean up the aesthetics, it will be a great car. You are right these cars are so tiny its a great driving experience...I love them and have a special place in heart for them. This is my buddies car that we will be embarking on a KA24DET swap sometime soon. This car burnt down in front of my house about 3years ago and my friend Mark just finished it this summer - three years and many $$$$ later! The U20 runs OK, put its no match for even a bone stock KA24 much less a turbo charged version...the cars needs a turbo on it bad...as the suspension is set-up and its tight. The car is probably the most beautiful Roadster I have seen and its a genuine low windshield 2000. Post some more pics and I enjoyed your website too, love the liberal use of the word $hit! LOL Yasin
  7. Looks great Austin. Your wastegate location is similar to where I am going to have to plumb mine as well - no ideal but will have to do. Great pics keep them coming as you make progress. Yasin
  8. Daniel - Sorry to hear that! I see that Datsun327 lives in Plano Texas. There is a guy in Arlington TX, that I need to pay a visit to with my Louisville Slugger for the same reason. Do you want to make a road trip? We could be there in no time? This crap pi$$es me off....you wouldn't know. P.S: Did you go to the Tynan Nissan car show yesterday? Yasin
  9. Cody - Thanks - its coming along...just not at break neck speed. I might polish it or may play with different paints...we'll see!! sosick - Dyno time hopefully in about 4-5weeks Mopar - Does this help on my set-up? And yes I will use every cubic inch of airthat I can ram down my engine's throat! Yasin
  10. Gang - Got the BMW TB mounted and the linkage working properly! Took some time and effort but here is the dilema before, how to connect A to B: Solution, no binding and lots of clearance (no chance of catching on anything): Making progress - all be VERY slow! Yasin
  11. J - Then a certain idiot we both know got the car and crashed it....IDIOT!
  12. LOL...my freaking ass off....me and a good friend were talking about that same car last week, as we both have been keeping an eye on it when it was on eBay. Over the winter we are going to embark on a KA24DET swap in his Roadster as well. So the guy's description and pictures were pretty crap - actually what is the car like to drive and how smooth is it? Is it well built? Any corners cut? Any more pics you can share? The popular swap for brakes ont hese cars is the 4piston '80s Volvo callipers -straight bolt in too. You may want to join the online Roadster forums. Congrats great car - Yasin
  13. I saw this on eBay looks like it was a project abandoned by a fellow Z owner. Adapting this intake to a Z would be siiiiick, his price is silly though! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WOW-RACING-intake-manifold-240z-260z-280z-280zx-turbo_W0QQitemZ260030544006QQihZ016QQcategoryZ36474QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Yasin
  14. Hardwood anyday - couple more dollars per sq/ft but far superior product in terms of value, adding value and aesthetics...."Oak floors" rolls nicely off the tongue as opposed to "Man made machined floors" I just finished laying 1800sq.ft of No.2 oak...looks amazing. Yasin
  15. Alan - Wow...totally cool! Of course I am VERY interested....beautiful..I'm so deeply jealous....gosh what a wonderful machine..S20...too...did I mention I'm jealous...another reason for me to make a rip over to England! Congrats my friend! Keep in touch and I need to hop over to classiczcar.com more often. Best regards - Yasin
  16. Sorry I pulled the pics off my website as I needed the server room.
  17. I would rather take public transportation over buying a new Volvo. Infiniti G35 or Acura TSX Type S all the way....Camry and Avalon are about as exciting as a stick of butter. Maxima is great too but trails the G35 and the TSX. If you are willing to buy slightly used but still under factory warranty, man the variety is sickening! Yasin
  18. Alan - Where the heck have you been? Glad to see you posting!! What new Z car adventures and mods have you been up to? Glad to see some great appreciation of the old Yellowbird! One of my favorites of all time! Yasin
  19. Thats the funniest ish I've seen in a while.... LOL Yasin So who's doing the Beyonce swap?
  20. Hey Gang - That was the venerable and ultra famous Ruf CTR Yellowbird...if you remember it from the mid the late '80s it was one of the most powerful street cars $$$ could buy and you needed lots of $$$ for the price of membership. Alois Ruf took the 3.3L single turbo (300hp and 310ft.lbs) of torque and dropped it into the smaller and lighter SC 911 cars (2250lbs), punched it out to a 3.4L then he added another turbo and twin intercoolers and (for the time) latest Bosch Fuel Injection...these cars made anywhere from 420-550hp. I have the fortune of seat time in a similar car, and yes they are raw and brutallly amazing. The driver did well as he was balancing that car at 10/10ths...some better pics... Yasin
  21. Go to the Fabrication section, I have pics and a pretty good thread over there talking about tilting the motor...I decided against it in the end. Yasin
  22. Precisely! Its the older 2.5L Twinturbo V6. Yasin
  23. OK I am very humbled....that V6 sounds simply nasty....and to think that Audi has been one of my least favorite German car companies...WOW!
  24. Sounds great call me anytime. BTW - not sure on the mileage on your FJ but did you mess with the chain tensioner(s)? I am not sure if you know this or not, but they slap a fair bit even with low mileage, there is a $2 mod you can do to address this - may want to check http://www.fj20.com and do a search, if I come across it I will email it to you. Best regards - Yasin
