How are you going to run the brake booster? Manual brakes only? I'm also quite currious to how it will handle with all the weight over the front end like that.

Most likely you'll be okay for a bit. If it had no vacuum you would not even be able to fill it.

I've got my wrecked 73 that I want to save the body from firewall to the end. If I cut the front end off at the firewall, remove all the rear suspension, rear end, transmission and left the interior inside what do you think it would weigh? Also there are no doors, hatch or windsheild left on the car. 300?, 500? 750 LBS? I'm going to need the sheet metal for a future project. My wife is gonna kill me for saving this car. My 3 car garage will be 2 Z's, the 3/4 wrecked Z, golf cart and her van. Not to mention 2 motors, 5 rear ends, 2 transmissions, 5 bikes and 2 scooters.

You can use your current setup, you just can't run very much boost w/ the high CR.

Looked at it today. Needs doors, fenders, and hatch. Some bondo here and there. Floors appeared to be okay. If anyone wants the number let me know. He's stuck at $1800. To me it is a $700-$1000 range car.

I don't feel he deserves negative feedback, neutral, yes. I agree the seller was wrong and should have told the truth, which he did eventually. You received a 100% refund and positive feedback. In my opinion, you should have researched a little more on the seller. It is completely clear of the sellers practices from going through his feedback history. As buyers we have to research as much as possible. To me it’s no different then choosing Wal-mart over Target. I’m not against you and I understand your frustration. I’ve been there before myself.

I just get sick of not having enough money and time to do what I want to my car. I'll have a nice glass of wine, pull the cover off in the garage and just sit inside and enjoy it. This is not 100% true. Quality control is a BIG factor in the cost of goods, even from China. You can see this in Electronics as well. My neighbor is a Chinese importer of goods. He said the critical part of importing and selling goods is the quality of the item being manufactured. Go buy a $1.00 tape measure from the flea market. Then buy the $10.00 one from anywhere else. I’ve seen time and time again the $1 one fail. Both units are made in China.

My opinion, it may be worth it to the right purist, but that is what is going to be the hard part, finding him/her. I would find every Z forum and put it in their forsale section. As far as price, $500 - $750 if you find the right person. Good luck!

I just want to flip it. Who is the original owner? I'm thinking it is an early 260z thin bumper 74. The bumpers look very similar to the 240, but are different I know, it is hard to tell from the pics. I also think they removed the rubber parts around the bumper. Would you chance the $1800 to make more money?

I'm looking at this car locally that is suppossed to be in good shape running and rust wise. It has a g-nose on it, dual webers, and reamaining looks stock other than the wheels and whale tail. Paint is suppossed to be 8 out of 10. If it checks out as stated and being the fact that i'm on the East Coast and most of the sales of Z's on ebay i've seen are in Cali, what do you think it may bring? Does the G-nose help or hurt the car? I think the whale tail may deter from top price. The guy was asking $2800 and is now down to $1800, that is what he has in it.
