  1. Jeff, just let me know when you want me to bring it back. I'll swing back by where we first met. Thanks again! How is the Z coming along?
  2. I'm a kid in a candy store today. I bought one for $450.00 yesterday w/ axles. I'm getting another one next week from the same guy for $350.00 and I picked one up today in the junkyard for $108.00! All said and done I'll have three for $908.00. I'll be ebaying two in the next few weeks. For these types of R200 LSD do I really need to clean them up or do people not care because what they are? Here is a pic of the two I have now:
  3. This worked perfectly! I just got my stock 73 240z tach working! Thanks so much. Won a new 8920 for $30 off of ebay.
  4. So did you find the Star wheel or no? Congrats on getting them off.
  5. I like the new tail, I just don't care for the black on the front. Cut it to match the new tail. Keep the mesh rims too, very nice. Excuse the poor choping. Old: New:
  6. In Florida I paid $85.00. It's been a few years so I'm sure it's gone up.
  7. WHat no pics of the girl friend?
  8. Hold are your Dist. Cap and Rotor? Electronic Ignition or points? Points could easily do this and so could a bad cap or rotor.
  9. Just by an S130. The roof line of an S30 really makes the car for me.
  10. I found a guy locally who has the CLSD above. Do I want the Axles or not for a 73 240z? I'm thinking I should have kept my CV's from my 280zxt. Is the price too high? Sorry, for not searching a little more. I'm trying to do this at work!
  11. Hmmm.... maybe it will help the light load throttle response. I'll have to try both ways and see. Thanks Ron.
  12. Old thread I know, but how does a distributor have a mechanical and vacuum advance? Isn't the vacuum advance itself mechanical? I'm trying to determine if I need to run the vaccum advance for a MSD 6AL using a 280zx Dist as the magnetic pickup. I think I said this right? Hmmm... looks like you can go either way... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=111032&highlight=msd+6al+vacuum+advance
  13. Can anyone confirm if the front struts are any taller? I'm thinking of cutting a front off a 280z and merging it w/ a 240z.
  14. Reading in this thread helped me answer this question. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=122709&highlight=vband At least the website, www.atpturbo.com had very good info and sold some of the Vband parts. Anyway, here is the breakdown: 60mm WG Cost $595.00 44mm WG cost $375.00 $20 44mm flange $29 60mm flange $49 60mm clamp (ouch) $40 Tubing $50 Fab Total $563 Not really worth it.

    LSD question

I'm assuming no, otherwise I think there would be a sticky on this one. But, I'm intrested in a response as well.
  16. Yep, he only had one though. http://orlando.craigslist.org/tls/589901951.html He had it sold, but the guys check bounced. Lucky for me!
  17. Practice! I need to find a tank and wire my garage w/ 220. Both of those should be pretty easy. Then Practice some more!
  18. Yep regulator and Hoses appear to be there!
  19. Holly cow batman! Now you need to drive over to O-town once it's done!
  20.:lol::lol::lol: Brand new in the box, I got to cut it open for the first time! $300 dollars off of craiglist here in Orlando, just picked it up! I feel like a kid in a candy store! Now I have to find a tank, any recommendations? Do I have to use a specifc Argon/CO2 tank or can it be others?
  21. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160220567735&rd=1 ...I have set all timing and ignition systems to race mode ( only available in this model ) and this puppy screams redlines 7,000RPM... Read through some of the Q&A at the bottom. Interesting stuff.
