  1. You learn something new every day! I've probably done a 100 or more compression tests and have never done this! I know, I know... I only know what I've been taught and I guess dad taught me wrong! Time to eat some humble pie! Now I'm real curious! What is really amazing, is that I've never encountered this before. http://www.geocities.com/dsmgrrrl/FAQs/compression.htm
  2. Really? I have NEVER done that before.
  3. Thanks Paul. I'll need to ensure my guage is accurate first. Something just doesn't seem right with the 30 PSI. The consistancy really threw me. Head gasket maybe, but all 6 cyl? Not seen that one before. It would run on Starting fluid also. Previous owner hasn't a clue on what was done or not, so I really don't know myself. 130K on the motor and it appears untouched. Now i'm really curious.
  4. This may be a dumb question, but I'm a little stumped. I did search. This may be my gauge as well. I picked up a 83 Turbo w/a P90A head. When I do a compression test I get a solid 30 across all 6 cyl. I recall when my hydraulic heads were done on my Ford Taurus we got no compression until the oil pressure built up. The car has been sitting for a little bit but I cranked the car enough to build some pressure up and I have oil in it. Thoughts?
  5. These or more money, but just an FYI on there existance. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=32_54
  6. Half shafts? The shaft(s) that goes into the rear end and bolt to the stock Universal or axles or the Stub axles, that goes into control arm / bearing carrier and bolts to the same axles?
  7. Stock boost gauge on the dash, look for the fined cover on the rear end.
  8. I don't think it is cheating as long as you use it as it was intended for. If it were cheating, then PayPal would not have even enabled as such. If your trying to get out of the fees because of something you sold, yes it is cheating. If your buying a part for a friend or sending money to a relative, then no it is not cheating, it's common sense!
  9. Give me a call. I PM'd you my phone #.
  10. You should only have to adjust the star wheel if the pads are worn enough and have cut into the drum. If you try and move the drum and it pulls on the pads and springs back into place this is likely the case. If not and the drum doesn't budge, it has most likely just stuck to the stub axle. Don't hit the fins. I take a 5lb hammer and gently hit an inch or so from the center of the stub on the drum itself. Normally it will pop right off.
  11. Will do tomorrow night when I get back.
  12. I have a set as well if Jamals don't work out. There not in the best shape, but they will be cheap. No shades.
  13. Thanks! It's all good. It just helped me to remember to check this when I get to that part. We all learn by each others experience!
  14. I would go through the effort and get the title then. It will make your sale much easier. Good luck!
  15. Hey Phil, what are your grill plans?
  16. For $50 let me know when! The title missing is a BIG headache in my mind. And the associated cost doesn't make it practical. I've got a 73 Title, dash tag, door tag, firewall tag and fender well tag i"ll sell for the right price!
  17. Juan is that yours? How much are you asking? I didn't hear a price in the video other than for the wheels?
  18. I have a complete Oil Cooler setup from an 82 280zxt Auto that I will sell for $100 plus shipping. Cooler, lines and engine coupling. This is what you will get:
  19. Some swearing, wear headphones. I love when they go by the Ferrari, F__ Off!

    LOL! That was great!
  21. I'm not sure what is more fun, watching them fly or crash. The carnage is amazing on a plane like that! In Orlando, I've seen some of the best pilots. These guys are amazing. BVM used to go out almost every Friday it seemed. http://www.bvmjets.com/

    Porsche Porn

I don't care for the added wing? Looks to ricer to me and takes away from the lines of the car. I'm sure it adds LOTS of down force though.
