  1. Thanks for the link just what i needed, now all i have to do is go and pull them hopefully the car is not surrounded by water.
  2. Okay to start off i have a 73 240z and i'm doing a five lug swap and a rear disc conversion. I took the stub axle companion flange off, knocked out the stub axle, then completely stripped the rear drum setup. I did not however check the companion flange with the new MMS re drilled stub axle. Which are from a 280z, i though they were the same, but the splines on each are different. On to the question. If i get the 280z companion flange will the 240z half shaft bolt up to it or do i have to bite the bullet and swap in a whole r200 and half shafts. I really wish i can just use the 280z companion flanges and my 240z half shafts will bolt right up. Im going out to pick n pull at 8am tomorrow to go look at a 280z. And i need to have my car running by 2:30pm for work or im ******. So please hyrbidz help me out. Also will the 260z companion flange work with the 280z stub axles. -Carfan
  3. As we step into the minutes were after many members will mope around as if the world ended i bid farewell to all and with these few hours of down time go out and get that z one step closer to being on the road. I myself will finish my rear disc and 5 lug swap. Also what is the new sites addy, and the iphone skin thing if its a one time fee of 10$ i will give that plus donate 10$.
  4. You can use the (neoprene) lines from any parts store the part number is on one of modermotorsport Customer installs. Thats what im using to get everything setup and going, and till i can put out for braided lines.
  5. I have a 12 ton press you can come by and use tomorrow before 2:30pm. Let me know if you need to.
  6. I just bought two of them from pick n pull for 47.35$ fresh 240sx they just put out and they had lots of pad on them.

  8. Post #5 is my frame damage only if i knew what was going to happen.
  9. That's just begging for someone to steal your gas. Some one siphoned my gas once while parked at work left the cap on the ground and a garden hose in the filler. That would just make it too easy right there.
  10. I have lost many girls and i'm still happy. I don't really care about them because i can tell they are not the ones. The "ONE" will be appreciative of what i do with my spare time. Until then the hunt continues.
  11. I have harbor freight wood dollys when i need to move the car, if i dont want to start it or cant start it. Works perfectly!
  12. Its all fun anD games until you curb check and warp the frame. I just got some new rears after id say 1.2k miles im hard on tires. The empty parking lots and backroads are helping the tread dissapear faster than it should.

  14. My first ever Donut. That street is completly dead! You can sit in the middle of the road for 30mins before a car comes. When i blew the l24 on the same road i did it.
  15. I had the same problem and i'm from oakland too! I just lifted my weather stripping and shot some rtv inside from the outside and inside. No more leaks! Now i have to do the hatch.
  16. Got a qutoe at the first frame shop and they were 75$ an hour. Hour and half setting the car up then an approx 6 hours cutting out the box make everything straight re weld the box and do the alignment. So im looking at 7.5hrs * 75$ = 562.50. Seem reasonable? They also said if i have the motor out it can cut the price down a bit as it would give better acces to it and what mot.
  17. Yes, as well as all the trans fluid if you don't drain it or plug it.
  18. Kind of looks like this: http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm160/CWE2008/DSC_0215.jpg I found a shop near my job im going to take a look at hopefully i do not have to buy another z there is this strong attachment i have with this car.
  19. If it comes down to it i can just the portion off and get a straight part and have it welde back on. Like i said though its pretty straight no bending at the towers only near that box.
  20. Still in stockton at manteca chilis. Hopefully i can get it towed tomorrow sometime or in a few days so i can tear it down. I welded the diff like 3 months or so ago.
  21. Yo man i lost my phone with your number come by saturday and check it out.
  22. No bending at the strut tower. Just that box torn at the weld and the frame has a little warpage. Im towing it back to oakland and going to call a few shops in the bay area and check out the shops. I want it done right so i dont have any problems later down the road. Before i take it to the shop i think it would be a good time to completely strip the car and pre it for paint and other suspension + brake work.
  23. Further investigation with the wheel off and really looking the frame is bent but still is straight. Went to pick n pull to get a trans for my 7mgte swap also got headers and a oil pan. All was going good until i was coming off the freeway making a right hand turn. Lights was green, so trusting my half bald tires and welded diff. I try and swiftly make the turn but NO. The 7m trans im carrying in the back along with my passenger and misc of parts and things everything shifted to my side and kicked the rear end out i tried to fight it but it was to far gone came back around went straight to the curb correct and smacked the front passenger side into it then the back said i want some too and it took a hit. So now im F'd in stockton with no way to work. And no Z! Pics: Bad Quality Iphone likes it bright
